The hearse in England The new state hearse had been designed by the Royal Household and Jaguar Land Rover with the Queen approving its design plans
Apparently they unveiled those wheels today in London after using a Mercedes in Scotland. Queen Elizabeth II's hearse is a Jaguar like her mother's | Fox News
Harold & Maude.........great scenes filmed at the Sutro Baths ruins..... http://reelsf.com/reelsf/2016/11/11/harold-and-maude-what-have-you-done it's a benz.....it's a jag......it was a benz......yes but now it's a jag......ok, just so long as I was right..... .
that isn't true though, millions of our daft cousins cross the water to gaze longingly at Buc Palace and then spend all their cash in London, along with other odd visitors I am not arsed either way about them but they are here and I wouldn't push for a change, tradition and all of that.
An often raised point. Do tourists not go to Paris or Versailles because the French lopped the heads off Louis XVI? It hasn't seemed to hurt Egyptian tourism either and they've all been dead for 2000 years. I'd argue that abolishing the monarchy and opening up all the palaces would actually increase tourism. The monarch is nothing other than a figurehead and tradition. Most of the duty and service crap is self-promotion used to justify their existence. For which they get rewarded with immense privilege and numerous tax breaks. They'd never get away with continuing without presenting a public facade of self-sacrifice and their staff knows it. There nothing in my existence I've ever felt stronger about than abolishing the monarchy. No politics or cause comes close. I'll argue against it until my dying breath.
I'm not that arsed personally tbh I'd rate get shot of the politicians or the way the way they are atm, self serving cunts that have no idea how the common man has to live, I appreciate that could be said of the royals as well but they don't decide to fuck us over with stupid economic policies.
Its 2023. William is on the throne. The funeral for Elizabeth went on so long Charles died before it ended. The queue to see his body was added to the one to see the queen and now starts at Tebay services on the M6. This is still the UK's major news story and the BBC's presenters are still in the same black tie and suits they've worn for the last year. In other news, tomorrow marks the 1st anniversary of the Center Parcs massacres. It is believed that one group of survivors still holds on within the shattered dome of the Longleat site. The last of the lions released from the nearby safari park to deal with the fighting was reportedly shot dead two days ago. Police complain they do not have enough manpower to intervene as all their officers are on queue management duty and their snipers are still protecting the funeral route. The Heathrow aircraft ban has now been extended to all airports north of London to protect the solemnity of the queue. Government claim to have met their nett zero emissions target twenty years ahead of schedule as a result. This cannot be verified due to national mourning. And finally, to mark the one year anniversary of the 24 hour a day live HD streaming of the Lying in State, the BBC has officially renamed its streaming services MournHub. A light hearted, dystopian near future poke at how fucking ridiculous the UK currently is, shamelessly plagiarised from a number of sources. ps. The Jets started 2023 0-2. Sean Payton and Jimmy Garropolo are rumoured to be in danger of being sacked by owner Jeff Bezos after their poor start.
Sometimes easier to just show some respect or keep quiet ps I am not watching or listening to anything these odious toadies are saying, probably why I am not getting as mad about it as you, thank Apple for iPods and bluetooth connections, trouble-free driving. On Monday the wife will be watching events, I will be on the PC with my headphones on, when the appropriate moments arrives, I will stop my activities out of respect and then continue on my merry way afterwards. pps some of the above were funny but I hope the queues are not as far up as Tebay or it will fuck my deliveries up, selfish, most definitely
Easier for sure. I don't do easy though no matter who I offend when I believe in something. Monday I shall be driving my eldest back to uni. The day was arranged ages ago and I'm not changing it. To be honest I'm made up as the roads should be empty. I'll make it there and back in 5 hours or so, missing all the festivities if I time it right. My music full blast. None of the dirges being played by the media.
