Thank the stars that the monarch has nothing to do with making important decisions any longer. Chuckie traded this...[IMG]

One was a neurotic bitch and he loved the other before they were forced to marry other people.

Not sure if my generation was one of the first that lacked some sort of emotional connection to the British royal family of what... I do remember that long-ass wedding in the 80s that my mother had on TV for what seemed like 2 weeks.

The royals must seem like aliens to this new generation.

The woke generation will eventually eradicate the royal family. But that’s going to take another 100 years. The concept of a real King or Queen existing is too important to a lot of toy manufacturers, production studios and casinos.

If the keepers of royal tradition, whatever the fuck they’re called, had an ounce of good sense, they’d have staged the Queen’s death into a big event, rather than keeping it all hushed up until the last few hours. When it was clear she was on the way out, maybe remove her head. I mean, what’s better than going down in the history books as a beheaded queen? And follow it with a cool nickname, like Elizabeth the Beheaded - or whatever. The Queen was big on royal tradition. She’d have been all over that. Bring a little glory back into the royal family, rather than just casually handing the throne over to King Panty Sniffer III. Total missed opportunity.

I guess anyone can be "forced" to do whatever their mom wants if they can't stand up to her and never talked to her Uncle Eddie about such things.

Yeah, they could have frozen it too a la Ted Williams in hopes of bringing her back one day. That could cause a few problems with succession though.

Seeing those two in quick succession would put a strain on anyone.

What exactly does Monarchy bring to the table to justify all the privilege and status?

This is a genuine question from a person raised in a society that threw off Monarchy 246 years ago. I don't see any appreciable loss from that decision.

Absolutely nothing. From someone who still has to put up with them but would happily throw them off immediately. They are privileged figureheads given a position for life. Nothing more. No wonder Woody likes them.

You missed my point. While I don't give any more of a shit about Liz Windsor than I do about any other 96 year old I've never met, I very much give a shit about the monarchy as an institution. I abhor it with all my being. And no, I have nothing good to say about any member of it. The worst decision ever made by the country was inviting the syphillitic Charles 2nd to restore the monarchy after Cromwell chopped his Dad's head off.

Why are they using a hearse made in Germany? You'd kind of think that they'd use a Rolls or Bentley made in the UK, even if owned by BMW. Or the old Land Rover Phillip had restored for himself.
