Those people are insane. I'm actually a Sanchez supporter, and I would pay for his plane ticket out of town if Stafford were the guy on the incoming flight. I realize Stafford has better receivers, but the offensive line there sucks almost as bad as the Jets line does and the guy threw for 5000 yards and 41 TDs!!!!! That's nearly two full years of production for Sanchez. Also got a team that hadn't had a winning record in a decade to 10 wins and a playoff spot.

Seek help if you'd take Sanchez over Stafford. Immediately.

    They would be retarded.

Not saying Sanchez won't be a good QB, but Stafford is way, WAY better. No running game, so teams played the pass all year and he had 5000 yards. I don't care how good his wideouts are, that is a serious QB.

Give me Megatron and I'll take my chances with Sanchez.

On the whole, it's worse. This was a down year for the Jets' OL while the Lions' OL played like they have been the last few years. There is no question the Jets have better OL talent.

Exactly right. Look at the Lions/Saints game the other day - yes Stafford is a gun but it helps when you've got a freak like Johnson on the other end of your passes.

Exactly. I'm not taking Stafford over Sanchez unless Megatron is coming over with him. That dude is like a magnet on the field. Wherever he runs, defenders are just drawn to him. He opens things up for the rest of the crop.

One WR is not worth more than a solid offensive line. Stafford has been taking a pounding every year in the NFL. Sanchez has played only one season behind a crap offensive line & he was rattled before the season even ended. Give Sanchez Megatron & the Lions OL the last 3 seasons & he won't produce Stafford numbers. Now Sanchez does have positives to his game especially his post-season success but there's no way you can just dismiss Stafford's numbers because Megatron is with him.

They are either liars supporting their team or clueless as to what they are watching.

Thats fair enough but I don't think anyone is really dismissing Staffords output just acknowledging that when you have a guy like Megatron on the other side of the ball it makes life a bit easier.

Yea, one receiver allowed Stafford to throw for 5,000 yards and 41 TD's.

Sanchez would be the exact same QB with Johnson as without him.

Why do you think Sanchez would be the same? He could just stare at Calvin throw at him and probably have a high percentage that the ball is caught by Calvin. If the blitz is coming, he could throw one up and Calvin would make a play on it. Look how many times in the SAints game Stafford just threw one up to Calvin and it worked.

Also, the post above yours acknowledge Stafford would be doing good without him, but Calvin put up 1681 yards and 16 TDs. Calvin definitely helped Stafford set his season numbers with the way coverages have to shift to cover him or risk playing him 1 vs 1. Not trying to discredit Stafford, but it would be an outright lie to say having Calvin hasn't helped him at all.
