If We get a new oc and Sanchez sucks next year it will be because he hasn't learned the new system yet, then if he sucks in year 5 it will be because we need to give him 8 years like the Giants gave Eli Manning, then if he sucks after 8 years we are screwed. Just watching this kid play and seeing he has no mental toughness and field vision for 3 years tells me he is not a Nfl Qb and will never be one. For him to be remotely successful he needs a elite guard and tackle and center once he gets hit a couple times he automaticly gets thrown off his game. He is probally the easiest rattled qb in the league a huge pussy. We can get the same or better production elsewhere much cheaper. Sanchez fucked himself and the Jets by taking the easy way out and entering the draft before he was ready. Now he hasn't developed properly and will be out of this league in 2 years or a backup on the Bengals. I was watching e:60 and Aaron Rodgers was on and he said the biggest need for a good qb which he has is not arm strengh, accuracy, etc its "mental toughness" and Sanchez lacks that and thats not instilled by your offensive coordinator,qb coach, head coach, but its should come naturally.
According to your asinine logic, last year Sanchez was better than Peyton Manning, Joe Flacco, Matt Ryan, Tom Brady, Michael Vick, Matt Cassel, Drew Brees and Matt Hasselback. On the same level as Jay Cutler, and worse than Roethlisberger and Rodgers. Not bad.
Its funny how fans of every other NFL team and a good percentage of Jets fans know Sanchez is garbage. Yet there is this number of people who believe Sanchez can do no wrong and it is every other player's fault. When Sanchez threw those interceptions into the lineman's hands in the Dolphins game was it Holme's fault? Schotty's? Maybe it was somehow Cromartie's fault, I wouldnt put that kind of logic past these Sanchez apologists
Bet theres still a couple Leaf fans,Jamarcus Russell and Gholston fans left to crying they didn't get enough time to prove themselves and it was all the "teams" and coordinators fault.
And you refuse to admit that he has had some great games. Most Sanchez fans admit that he was awful this season and played like absolute shit. But, thats not good enough for you. You just like to say hes been awful in every game and only focus on the negative. Listen to the Tebow critics, you hear the same things about Mark Sanchez but some people refuse to say that Sanchez just wins. All I hear is Tebow is terrible, he is supplemented by his running game and has a great defense to carry him. Yet because he is Tim Tebow he actually gets all the credit for the games he wins while Mark Sanchez does not. And Russel, Gholston and Leaf showed nothing Mark has actually done some things which Sanchez haters refuse to admit.
No real need for anyone to crap on Sanchez anymore or defend him anymore. His play will seal his fate.
So Sanchez but should get all the credit for the four playoff game wins that was done largely with our stout defense and great running game. But once both of those fall off a little bit he has shown he is not that good. If you say we should "run the ball more" or "use more playaction" that really means that your qb can't carry the load.
In Mark Sanchez's rookie season in his first post season which was on the road his stats were as follows: 12/15 Attempts completion, that's 80%. 182 yards with 12.1 yard average, 1 TD and 139.4 QBR. Sanchez > Tebow any day of the week. Pereiro16 and jetsown22 you should both watch some football before you open your mouths.
Stop trying to be an internet tough guy. It just makes you look desperate. The thread is about what we've learned about Mark Sanchez form this year's playoffs. Peyton Manning, Joe Flacco, Tom Brady, Michael Vick, Matt Cassel and Matt Hasselbeck didn't play this weekend, so - by definition - we couldn't have learned anything about Mark Sanchez in relation to those players. So, you're post is asinine. Matt Ryan was awful. Sanchez has had better playoff performances than Matt Ryan. Mark Sanchez is better than Matt Ryan. Tim Tebow threw for two 2TDs, no INTS and more yards than Mark Sanchez has ever had in any playoff game. Tim Tebow is better than Mark Sanchez. Next time I won't be so nice to you.
Yes he had a great D and running game, and was asked to do next to nothing, which he did not screw up. During that same rookie season he Was 196-364 for 2,444. 12TD/20Ints. FYI those numbers are almost identical to Jamarcus Russel's rookie numbers. Only difference is Sanchez threw 12 more picks.
Sanchez was not better than Big Ben. Also, our defense played big time in our wins and shit the bed in our losses while our offense just functioned well enough. Sanchez didn't win those games on the strength of his arm. I love the kid, but let's not pump his tires that much
Nicely said (in jest or not). This post shows why tossing numbers and stats around is often a bunch of bullshit. Toss Dan Marino's stats out and somebody can say: Trent Dilfer: 1 SB ring Dan Marino: 0 SB rings There is ALWAYS more to it than stats.
Sanchez is a franchise qb like tj yates By the logic of winning playoff games, then 3rd stringer TJ Yates is a franchise QB for "leading" the Texans to a playoff victory, never mind the great defense and Arian foster. just like Sanchez supposedly "led" jets to victories, rather than riding coattails of defense and run game. if you want to see true leading to playoff victory by a qb, see tebow's game last night.
