People are defending Sanchez from people bashing him with inaccurate stats and one sided arguments. Nobody has ever said keep him for 10 years or that he is elite. People here argue that getting rid of a QB after 3 seasons is dumb, especially when we have no backup plan on the team. We also have many other weaknesses on our team where upgrading our QB isn't the biggest or most glaring problem. But you haven't responded to one logical argument made by me earlier in this thread, so don't see why you will respond to this.
Im a troll for stating the truth right? Oh ya and Tebow did it vs maybe the best defense in the league.
Did you honestly watch that game? Sanchez hit keller in the hands or head 5 times. Kerley was, well, being a rookie and ran the wrong route which resulted in an INT. Did you see Sanchez getting absolutely raped by lineman every other play? Supposedly he was hurt, which is not an excuse, but he should’ve never been asked to throw 60 times. Thats on Schotty. He abandoned the run game in the second half. ONCE AGAIN. Try and ask a QB to throw 30 times in a half when the best DLine in football pins its ears back and just plays the pass every single play. Please tell me how you expect that to turn out any better than it did. Oh yeah, and how many receivers did you see open the entire game? I could probably count them on two hands. I know you’ll end up saying some idiotic statement on how Elie threw for 270+ yards with half the attempts... So here it is. It comes down to one player making a play for his QB. His name would be Victor Cruz. If Cruz didnt break two tackles and absolutely burn our starting safety who had about five yards on him, his passing “stats” would look very poor. What would it be? Like 140 yards, a TD and an INT? For an “Elite” QB thats pretty poor. And if it wasnt for that play, we probably wouldnt have lost the game.
I wouldn't be surprised that, like that "Joe Walton" GIANTS FAN(in Jets disguise), that this guy is actually a Broncos fan signing up here just to TROLL.
While your making poor excuses, did you watch the game where the Giants dropped 3 easy picks? Works both ways buddy. Also Sanchez played a poor giants secondary while Eli played our elite secondary. Excuses excuses excuses but hey lets do what we did all year make excuses and blame everyone else on the Jets team, Sanchez is only in his 3rd year afterall maybe after 3 contracts he will finally start to get it.
So then how do we fix RT, WR, S, OLB, and blocking TE who can catch decently? Manning will take all our salary cap, Flynn is going to get starter money. Orton could work, but then aren't we going for a win now strategy and we have to start over in a couple years? What do we do with Sanchez then? Do we cut him and probably take a huge cap hit? What is limiting us from taking Sanchez to AFC championship again with a strong team? He was never the reason we lost those games.
Did you know the Lions dropped 3 picks in the playoff game and in the last game they played against Brees? Nobody looked at those. Did you Crocker dropped a huge pick in the Bengals/Texans game. Did you know Champ Bailey dropped a huge pick in the Pitt/Den game? Works both ways. Dropped picks happen to every QB, just like tipped picks.
This guy has 300 posts in 5 days and all of them are on the QB position, either being Sanchez doesnt pass for 300 yards or trade for Peyton. He just doesn get the meaning of team sport. Thought he was gone for good... Just updating you since I didnt see you around when he was in his posting frenzy
My bad! There is so much to criticize Sanchez on, and people make terrible arguments bringing up useless stuff. I'll stop now.
Yup we should look at the dropped passes by the Jets but not the dropped picks by the defense makes perfect sense, We should look at Sanchez Td's but not his awful accuracy rate and not all his fumbles. Ofcourse just weed out the bad and blame the whole team and coaching can't touch Gq boy. Anything to make someone who has proven he is not a Nfl Qb look like one. After all he had 1 good year in college. Lets keep giving him a contract extension based on that. But Eli Manning and Alex Smith sucked their 1st 8 years so lets give this incompetent qb 8 years to suddenly prove himself.
Well considering that I've only just recently signed up, I thank you for the update but I still think this guy isn't really a JETS fan.
This weekends results lead me to believe that Mark Sanchez is better than Matt Ryan, but not as good as Tim Tebow.
