Agreed, we need to go in a new direction, bringing in a new coach, let him get a new QB that he can work with, and not just for one year.
Hire Rex Ryan sign or draft DT/DE, Maybe LB too, DB and maybe another WR, some young frsh DL's would be great, some depth at NT would be a big plus and ends to get to the QB and Rex Ryan is the only way to go I believe, Spags is interesting but then we'd switch to 4-3 which would suck. I personally like 3-4 better.:jets:
we have the core of what could be one of the best jets team to date, were missing a QB whos pulling his weight, BF hasn't settled in and isn't likely to in the year (?) he would probably be with the jets for he needs to be gone
Where did you get that from? They would have owed GB 3 firsts if they traded Favre to Minnesota LAST YEAR.
At the end of the day i don't think the Brett Favre situation will be a issue, i can't see him coming back, i think he is ready to ride off into the sunset.
Let Bubba Franks take a walk into retirement. Tell Brian Thomas -- Finally you can take it easy for the rest of your days. Ty Law - Was a nice thought but that didnt work either. I just stole this line from above because I also agree with it let Barton and Nugent walk --------- We need help at safty and the corner postions. We need a FAST ( Burner ) wide receiver We need a tall receiver ( Pefer one with talent )
On SNY Buttle reported that Peppers and Asomugha were going to hit the FA market this offseason... Not that I think either of them will get past the franchise tag... but if they did...
Asomugha will definitely have the franchise tag placed on him, even if they did hit FA though, could we realistically afford to sign them?
The salary cap is set to expire, so yes. EDIT: Also keep in mind that if Favre retires that is $14 million off the books.
It's not, but there is still space to work with, especially if Favre retires. Tannenbaum has, as always, done an excellent job with the books.
