yeah,it must have nearly no effect. Thats why they risked all of this after already being warned. right. Clayton you f---kin purdue chicken.
Thanks. And you can add Belislob to that list, my other favorite. Phile both under Jellis. This whole flap was the best treat ever. It turned into a welcome diversion from the sad pall of 09/11. I suspect the same thing as to other folks. A nice gift on an awful day.
Well since he was a defensive coach and this latest flap (at least the video part of it) has to deal with possibly stealing the other teams defensive signals it would only be useful to the Pats offensive personnel / coaches.
All You Need To Do Is Check Into Belichick's Personal Life Just A Little And You Will See What Type Of Guy He Is...... He Is A Bum..
As the old owner of the Giants who died was quoted, "Belliqueer is the worst person I have ever known. He will never be part of this organization again."
was this posted here already??? i heard and read about the different radio channels but not defensive players actually wearing radios...thats fucked up. DID PATS USE RADIOS ON DEFENSE? Now that the entire pro football community is atwitter over the allegations/proof of cheating by the New England Patriots, we're hearing more rumors on the NFL grapevine regarding the extent to which this stuff went on. In addition to the rumor we heard on Wednesday that the Pats were putting microphones on defensive players in 2006 to pick up audibles and offensive line calls, we're now hearing that there has been a rumor for years that the Patriots have inserted a radio in the helmet of one or more defensive players for the purposes of direct communications with the coaching staff. Such a tactic, if true, would be an even more significant violation of the rules, in our opinion. As several readers have pointed out, the only thing illegal about the signal-stealing issue is the use of the electronic equipment to record the images. Nothing prevents a team from using low-tech means to track signals and connect them to the defensive coverages used. It's simply harder to do it via the naked eye, especially since the video can be used later to confirm the specific signals given, if/when the team with the video is preparing to face the same opponent in the future -- or a member of that coaching staff who might use the same signals in a new city. So the only competitive advantage is that it's a better way of doing something that already can be done. In contrast, using radios in the helmets of defensive players gives the team access to something that folks who follow the rules simply can't use. Keep in mind that this new twist is only a rumor, one of many that are now on the NFL grapevine as this story continues to percolate. Still, given the events of the last 48 hours, it's hard not to rule out anything at this point.
Unless it comes out in the news that Eric's current diet pill consists of HGH he's providing to the team I'd say NY is winning the "create a distraction to the rival coach" game that started last year.
I think the picks may be a little higher than that, but he's in the ballpark of what punitive action may be taken. As for those of you still praying for a forfeit...it will never happen. That could lead to another team filing a grievance if they miss the playoffs, or lose homefield advantage because the jets got a "freebie". The NFL would never put themselves in that boat.
I don't think the Jets should get a win, because honestly, they didn't win and I don't think they would have, but the Patriots shouldn't get one either. Maybe give both teams a loss, or a tie.
The guy was filming from the Pats sidelines, and they are talking draft picks, as I said. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3014677 The stuff about the Jets sidelines is rumormill material. Sources: Goodell determines Pats broke rules by taping Jets' signals By Chris Mortensen ESPN.com (Archive) Updated: September 12, 2007, 11:10 AM ET Comment Email Print NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has determined that the New England Patriots violated league rules Sunday when they videotaped defensive signals by the New York Jets' coaches, according to league sources. NFL security officials confiscated a camera and videotape from Patriots video assistant Matt Estrella on the New England sidelines when it was suspected he was recording the Jets' defensive signals. Sources say the visual evidence confirmed the suspicion. Goodell is considering severe sanctions, including the possibility of docking the Patriots "multiple draft picks" because it is the competitive violation in the wake of a stern warning to all teams since he became commissioner, the sources said. The Patriots have been suspected in previous incidents. The Patriots will be allowed an opportunity to present their case by Friday, sources said, most likely via the telephone. NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said on Tuesday that no official decision has been made and that the club has not been notified. How it came to light? NEW YORK -- A story in Wednesday's New York Daily News claims that Jets coach Eric Mangini, a former New England assistant under Bill Belichick, came armed with keen knowledge of the team's surveillance methods -- and finally decided to act. "[The Jets] knew they did it," the Daily News wrote, citing a person with knowledge of the situation, who sent the newspaper an e-mail. "They caught the guy a year ago, but couldn't do anything about it. When Eric came, he said that's what they used to do. Bill is going to be [ticked] at Eric. He kissed and told." Sunday's game was the fifth time Mangini has coached against Belichick since joining the Jets. -- ESPN.com news services The league also was reviewing a possible violation into the number of radio frequencies the Patriots were using during Sunday's game, sources said. The team did not have a satisfactory explanation when asked about possible irregularities in its communication setup during the game. Goodell is expected to have a decision no later than Friday, but that date is not set in stone. Patriots owner Robert Kraft was asked Tuesday when he expected a verdict, but said those questions had to be directed toward Goodell. "There is an investigation going on now, and perhaps an adjudication of it, and I think it would be inappropriate at this time to make any comment," Kraft told reporters at a charity appearance Tuesday. "When you're successful in anything, a lot of people like to try to take you down and do different things. We understand that. "We worked very hard to try to put an organization together that we all could be proud of in New England, and we're very proud of the New England Patriots organization and the record that they've established over the last 13 seasons and one game." Chris Mortensen covers the NFL for ESPN. Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.
Did you happen to check the time on that kitten? 11 this MORNING...Nice try.. you must really be getting nervous sweetie
I see it being 2 third round picks, a 2 game suspension for bellishit and a huge fine for kraft whose wife wanted bellishit fired before this even happened.
