disapprove all of my points...You still haven't maybe paying Nnamdi 30 mil up front is a bit too much but paying him the maximum he could be paid this year will certainly benefit us....
We can sign any player who is cut. Adalius Thomas will be cut. What's hilarious is that you're confused about whether we can sign Adalius Thomas, but he'd be open to us for the same reason Rolle will be. Durrrr. Seriously, though, why are you still posting? You're supposed to be gone until September already.
Do you not read these forums or something ? If Thomas is CUT we can sign him no restrictions. And when youre seriously lacking draft picks, (like we are) 6th and 7th rounders are far from meaningless.
No. Paying him the maximum he could be paid this year will certainly give us a nightmare contract to deal with if the cap is reinstated. It's absolutely inane to give up 2 first rounders for a contract headache at the same position as our best player. For Nnamdi to come here, he'd have to be willing to extend his deal at a SERIOUS reduction in value. Since one of your points was that Rolle should be signed, I obviously can't disprove all of your ideas. If you were a real man, you'd own up and leave.
Honestly a 6th and 7th round pick is a meaningless pick...Those pickups are usually cut by time the season comes along....come on dude those are only for depth
Why don't you try actually READING the F8P? It's posted in its entirety in a stickied thread. We are forbidden from signing UFAs. Adalius Thomas, if cut, is a RELEASED FA. It's entirely different and exists outside of the F8P. Ditto for Rolle. You do know how to read, yes?
What is the maximum we could pay him this year? And if we give him that maximum this year, how will it give us a nightmare contract to deal with.... Now Kerry for Osi wouldn't work why is that...Giants need a safety and we are in need of a DE http://www.giantsgab.com/2010/02/02/osi-for-kerry/
We need every pick we have this year. We all know there is value in these late rounds too. Hard to find, but its there.
Some "worthless" 6th/7th round picks from recent years. Drew Coleman, Antoine Bethea, Cortland Finnegan, Marques Colston, Chansi Stuckey, Ahmad Bradshaw, Jason Snelling, Jay Ratliff, Derrick Ward.
I agree with you....I stated 6th or 7th rounder in 2011 but I just understood to final 8 rule so I must recant on my suggestion on that trade to the pats.....But let us keep it real here man, 6th and 7th rounders are usually cut or mediocre
A bleacher report can also be seen as fake news since its never remotely accurate. So (jtrain), the next time you post a Bleacher report, it will be treated as such and handled accordingly....
Now can we compare that list to the rest of the 6th and 7th rounders that were drafted in recent years???? Ohh....I thought so.....What is your point I am aware that there is a possibility that one can get lucky drafting out of the 6th and 7th round but majority of them end up cut or mediocre and please do not mention Drew Coleman please don't do that
So according to you our 6th and 7th round picks are meaningless because the odds of getting someone good are low. Therefore you want to trade away 2 of our first round picks instead ? I love your logic.
He already negotiated to the maximum increase when he signed the contract. We would have two options if we traded for him. We'd either pay him for ONE season (and give up 2 draft picks and a player), and let him walk, or we'd be paying our 2nd CB the franchise number for QUARTERBACKS to keep him on the team in 2011. That's likely to be close to $18 million. If a cap returns in 2011, you can't see how that would break us? It's a lose-lose situation. As far as Kerry to Osi, player for player trades are unbelievably rare in this league. Osi's determination to play has been called into question lately, even more so than Rhodes'. He lost his job with the Giants, he's never played in a 3-4. Need I go on?
