The trade up by itself was an incredible value. We gave up very little to move from # 17 to # 5.

With that being said, the value that we passed up by selecting Sanchez was even greater. Monroe, Crabtree, and other great talents were available. Maclin would have eben available at pick # 19.

The kid better be the real deal or we will be hurting for quite sometime.

I feel like I've been gutted. Let's see if you all still love Sanchez when he comes out of the closet and proves to have a weaker arm than Penny and it turns out the other players hate him. And when the team gets divided after KC issues a trade demand. This move guarantees SOJ for another three years at minimum. Time for Tannendumb to go, hope he can take Woody with him.

Your posts are always filled with irrational and idiotic gloom about everything Jets-related.

Sanchez has a weak arm, since when?

The other players will...hate...him? Why, because you do?

You're an east coast football fanboy -- making remarks about Sanchez being gay is so fucking stupid.

Kellen Clemens has NO value to any other team in this league...he won't demand a trade. He'll probably start the season for us at QB.

    Go play some Madden, crybaby.

I'd love to add to what Mr.E had to say about your post but he covered every base.

    Damn Him!

I've been getting high all day and couldn't come close to this level of stupid... Clemens is going to "demand" a trade? With what leverage? The vendor selling the big foam fingers has more value than Clemens right now...

The value was great at the tail end of the 1st round, and TB would have traded up with us.
I hate the decision, and am no where near sold on Sanchez.
He's started at the collegiate 1 year with a very good supporting cast.
Reaks of selling PSLs and appeasing the fan's vague notions of a 'franchise QB' (a phrase I've grown to disdain)

Well said, I wish I said it. :)

How many years do these crybabies want to wait before drafting a QB? We got one of the top 2 or 3 QB prospects and we didn't pay much for it in my opinion. Do the crybabies on this board have any better ideas for QB? If so, please post them because I'm dying to know your brilliant solution to our QB issues.

I truly wish I knew what kind of drugs you are one, because I would sell them to Belicheck right now about Tom Brady.

to be honest, i dont know a lot about sanchez, aside from watching a few usc games last year, but i never liked him. he always came off as a douche bag and when i heard the jets were really interested in him, i was scared that management wanted a well known, pretty boy, marketable player to step in after brett.

now i hope im wrong, as what most of what im saying is based off of gut feeling, but i hope that the jets made this move for the right reasons. and it doesnt help that off first impression, sanchez seems like a hard guy to root for.

im still in shock from this move.. i was definitely under the impression that clemens or ratliff would start for us this year. at this point, i understand i just gotta trust their decision but it will be very interesting to see how this plays out to say the least.
