I don't think they needed a safety, they have Donovan Darius at SS and they're paying him a lot of money.

I don't want a running back. We already have Martin, Houston, Askew, and Blaylock under contract for next year and they all can have a certain role.

Martin- feature back, gets most of the 1st and 2nd down carries

Houston- 3rd down back with occasional appearances on 1st and 2nd

Blaylock- change of pace back. a faster back that can be the RB for an entire drive when the offense is slumping. He's the jump-starter

    Askew- short yardage

Behind a fixed OL this would work out very well... and McNeill is the the final necessary piece we need to fill Jones, Kendall, Teague, Moore, McNeill. Now we can use our 3rd rounders and beyond to get depth and potential starters when Kendall and Teague get over the hill. We're fine on running back in 2006.

Alright. My first thought was to give them Maroney but then I looked at their secondary and it was terrible. Must have missed Darius...

Oh. My bad. We all make mistakes when we're so into this draft:grin: Well now you have my position on our running back situation.

Where has NYJATW been all day? I kinda miss the random posts asking to trade Ed Reed.

yeh he has not been around, strange though, I was sure by the end of the day he would have traded his whole team for the entire second round

I am sooooo freaking confused. Dwalsh you have like 4 different picks for the jags! Make up your mind and have ONE draft set up. Who did hte Jags take? Which safeties are on the board, is Maroney still there??

btw, for what its worth, if maroney is there the Colts should take him, if not Addai is the best pick, IMO.

We had decided on Whitner, and then dwalsh talked to GH and GH changed it to Maroney. Since the Jets didn't take him and the Colts GM is nowhere in sight there's no harm done. Maroney was made the pick.

Yeah, my bad on the Jags pick guys, I hadn't realized that it changed from the set two hours to the two hours from the last pick deal. I came on about 10 and saw my time passed, so I asked Dwalsh to change the pick to Maroney.

No problem, it's understandable. We had to change it because it was going very slow on the first day and after one guy made the pick we were sitting around for 2 hours. It's better this way and we've had very few missed picks.

New York Mick (GB) trade D'Angelo Williams to Green Hurricane (Jax) for Laurence Maroney and their #92 pick

sry guys, one of my friend's birthday today so we were playin games here....then i went to 2 other people's houses...

nice to not be online all day for a change...

i'm really behind now, and i should take over duty for Dwalsh, and DITK...but I'm wayyyyyyy too tired and I'll take over duty when I get home from school tomorrow...just remember I'm central time...

    if i'm making no sense, it's because i'm over-tired....

    ya....

i wonder what happened to the "what am i doing up at 2 am" thread....i'd like to find it but my eyes are closing and bleh i'm too lazy...

anyways....i'm not trading reed.....but my other safety whom i can't think of (due to tiredness reasons) is on the trading block...for an early-mid 2nd round pick and a 3rd (can negotiate 2) (and yes i'll be home tomorrow)...

    anyways....night, thanks DITK and Dwalsh...
