Though, I do admit I dont want cassell at all thats stupid. Seems pretty obvious, give clemens a shot and lets see what he has. If not well think about ratliff or ainge. We'll see.
Cassel's best attribute is his athleticism, but Ratliff is more athletic. With Ratliff we get a guy at least as big and as fast. Cassel makes at least 2-3 errant throws a game, he's getting better with each game, maybe next year the accuracy problems will be gone, but I still like Ratliff better.
This thread is terrible. Matt Cassel is garbage made out to be decent through the system he's in, the O-Line he's behind, the stud receivers to whom he throws, and the defense that supports him. Please stop.
Matt Cassell is only good cause he's on the fucking Patriots. He would not succeed on just about any other team in the league. Definitely not on the Jets.

The Pats have a way of making otherwise pedestrian players look great. Look what they've done with their stable of running backs behind Maroney. Cassell has had a great year but I do not see him as a potential savior of our franchise.
If we can pay Brett $12M then we can pay Matt too. But we would need to change the coaches or they would ruin him.
buying players from other teams never works in building a championship team...two different coaching staffs, mentalities etc. we need to develop our own talent within a successful system so coaching staff IS FIRST PRIORITY!!!...you can bring Peyton Manning in here and he will look like Chad/Favre...the system needs to be changed! ricky williams
