By next season JMac will be gone already. For this year, we'll have to live with Smith or Wright at #3. I wouldn't mind Wright getting the chance..

Jillozzo this is not meant to pick on you. But I call BS on anyone even thinking this.

McCareless played all training camp with Clemens. He was on the second team with KC and was intimately familiar with how he throws. Supposedly they had great chemistry.

I am sorry there are certain players that rise above when the game is on the line. For the Jets it was Namath, my favorite example is Messier.

However, Jmac is the exact opposite. He is a choker plain and simple. There is no excuse to make for a player like this. You will never win a championship with players that shrivel up when the going gets tough.

Send him to the glue factory!

McCareins stinked up the joint yesterday. Now we know why he's not the starter. Give Smith or Wright the chance at third Receiver.

Agreed, J-Mac and Clemens play together on the second team in practices I think, and I also think that's why that first drop was going to him at all.

there was no1 else even around that first drop. Most def it was meant for him. And yes, in the gameplanning Baltimore thread one of my points was that he would look for McCariens because he has been one of his fav receivers and that McCariens should be open because of the coverage on Coles and Cotch..damn who needs Greg Buttle when you got me..lol

I was going to make a new thread to try and take some heat off Jmac. Glad you guys already brought this up.

Chad is well known for throwing a "very catchable" ball. Part of that is he doesn't put a lot on it. Clemens was throwing rockets yesterday. None of our guys are used to that. Cotch is just sucha beast that it doesn't seem to bother him.

Owens led the league in drops last season. Keep that in mind before me bury Jmac after 1 bad drop.

point is tho that he practiced with Clemens all summer and he played with McNair for a while. That ball was catchable, and he dropped it. After every1 blows off their steam it will pass and hopefully he makes up for it

What really stinks is while I was in the hotel lobby cheering on & applauding all our coachs & players as there were comming off the elevators heading to the meeting room ,I told Buttle he was gonna eat his words & the JETS were gonna win this game ,hopefully I don`t catch to much abuse back on the air ,cause I bet he was thinking of all us JET fans in General telling him that before the game & thats what keeps him smiling..
