 Nail on the head. Someone suggested Davis to me a while back and I said "Hell no. We have other needs". Then I actually watched the guy play. To say I was drooling at the thought of this guy in a Jets' uniform is beyond an understatement. He can run, block, and absolutely manhandle defensive backs. From what I've read, his one knock is his catching ability. I disagree. IMO the guy's got it all.
Pretty even guys. The question is which one would work with the JETS more..... And I'm thinking back up QB.
They would never accept that, it's so tilted in our direction. I would be fine with Shaub and a 2nd. Then use our two seconds to move into late first round and take Maroney, who could even fall into the 2nd with the way teams that need RBs are signing FA running backs.
I'm almost positive Bollinger is a free agent, and even if he wasn't that wouldn't exactly be "sweetning the pot" because his value would be a late round pick. They wouldn't want him anyway, at least not enough for them to do that deal. And no, if the Jets got Shaub, they obviously wouldn't still be targeting Leinart.
I actually live in the DC area, and have had a chance to watch Ramsey a bit....and to be honest..I like what I see... I could really see him flourishing i na change of scenery....His head and onfidence has been so fucked with by the Redskins organization...from Gibbs to the old Florida Head Coch...to drafting the Auburn QB, and bringing in Brunelll...he just gets jerked around by the organization....not because he has no talent or is not a good prospect...but b/c the Redskins front office and owner want to win now..and have not shown faith in the kid
Makes sense to me, we give up the better player and the better draft pick.. Yeah right, what I don't understand is if the Falcs are offering a 2nd & 3rd why aren't we jumping on that right now..
Go look at his numbers.Plus he took the Saints to the playoffs something Harrington or Ramsey have never done.
Of course they wouldn't. But nothing short of that could possibly be worth Abraham AND the #4 overall pick.
