YES. Two NFC teams fighting over Abe, with #31 overall set as the baseline as compensation. I hope we let another round of bids come in. By the way, can we get a change on the thread title?
I read that article and also read the one about ABE going to Seattle...The only thing I know is what I heard from Clayton and he had no clue where ABE was going
if that article wasnt good enough for any of you, i have another one... New York wants Falcons backup quarterback Matt Schaub in the deal. Atlanta says it won't part with him. Draft picks might do, but the Falcons don't want to trade their first-round selection, No. 15 overall. http://www.ajc.com/friday/content/epaper/editions/friday/sports_44a16682429430660011.html
So basically all we know is that Abe is going to be a Bird, and either we will be drafting a QB, or an OT with the first pick??? this is all types of confusing
If Schaub is that much better than Ramsey, then a 2nd rounder instead of a first is acceptable to me. But I think the Jets will do a number of moves at the same time. They'll decide on a package for Abe and go from there,
if this isnt true, then we should def ban this idiot.. you cant just go and post whatever you feel like saying about trades and signings..
the falcons are idiots....they know that seahawks are willing to give up their 1st rd pick, but they are confident they can get him without giving up their 1st round pick or shaub???
I think we should all drink a beer to Mangini and Tannebaum tonite if this is true. also to the creator of this thread.
Abe deal not done according to ESPN http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2372951 Atlanta has agreed on a contract but not a trade. Seattle has agreed on the trade paramaters but not a contract with Abe. The Seattle deal inclues #31 this year. no other details.
This is crazy. I don't like Shaub at QB, but #31 is basically a 2nd rounder so I don't like that trade either. I'm pretty dissapointed.
I love it!!! Tanngini are playing these two teams like a fiddle! We're in for a few good years to come!
