If it comes down to giving up a 3rd to get the Falcons 1st then I'd rather just take the Seahawks first. By giving up our third we're basically trading Abraham to move up a round and a half in the draft. However if it is Abraham for #31 overall then we acquire an extra day one pick, and most day one picks are usually money.

I thought Bulger wasn't even drafted? He kicked around the Saints Camp before being released and going to the Rams. I always thought he was really overrated anyway.

For the first time since I can remember, the Jets actually have the upper hand in dealing with other teams. I give full credit to the new front office. Yet another example why things look to be improving big time with this team.

Maybe SHott Jr. can turn ramsey into the next brees

Lets think about this trade for a second and all the circumstances surrounding ramseys failure thus far in the nfl. He is a former first round qb who we acquired for a 6th round pick. He has already played for two coaches and three different offensive sytems and finally met his demise when the team hired hall of famer joe gibbs who is notoriously known for his offenses that dont require exceptional qb's.

This situation reminds me alot of drew brees and his rise to above average qb. Brees was a second round pick and was highly touted coming out of purdue. Brees has stated before that he owes alot of his development to shott jr.s program. Do you think that ramsey can grow into his own under shott similiar to the way brees did? You never know, he might be another late bloomer.

I'm not big on Ramsey but wow. Just a 6th round pick? I must say that is a very good deal.

Interesting, Brees was a first pick bust (OK, he was the first pick of the 2nd round) and then was turned into a star. Good post, maybe the same could happen to us.

good observation and interesting connection, good post. I think that Ramsey was in a difficult position the entire time in Washington, always trying to win the starting job and never getting a fair chance. also, it didnt help Gibbs doesn't like him at all.

Well it could happen. I'd say a 5% chance. The question is does the thought of that actually make you happy? It makes me shudder.

    Bingo.

Not to mention a O-line coach like Houck to give him time to throw.
