Just wanted to point out that if he really *did* have a source (which I think it's clear he did), he's not going to post who it is!! That's probably a sure fire way to never get info from the guy again, and maybe get him fired... He posted about 1/2 hour before it was announced - probably, what, 100 people knew about the deal then? It's not hard to believe he knew (or is) one of those 100 people...
Don't even bother bringing up the #6 pick. I'm not too surprised to see San Fran and Oakland become interested once the likely of Abraham to Denver diminished.
No it doesn't but I was sitting here watching ESPN and saw it come up, so I wanted to let everyone know where I saw it
NO chance in hell that SF is giving up the 6th pick for John Abe. I wouldn't even want the 4th and 6th pick unless we were planning to trade down. The cap ramifications from having two top 6 picks would be a disaster.
Your right, he hasn't done much, but last time he played us he went 17/23 with TD and a QB rating of 94 - yeah-o-by-the-way, they won!
I apologize to the moderator for starting a new thread. I thought this thread just had that one guy's prediction, wouldn't it be better to change the title of this thread to the actual news, so fans can clearly see breaking news on this site
6th rd pick for Ramsey is a good trade. The odds of a 6th rd pick amounting to much are usually slim (Tom Brady aside). He's had his moments (good and bad) but having to start under Spurrier's "no QB protection" system, the kid got shelled early on. I'm not saying he's very good, but at least there's potential for upside, and that's good for a backup QB. Also, he's proven he can take a beating, which is good considering the JETS oline. :0
This is great now we can trade down in the draft or take D-brick at 4. If we took Jay Cutler I would have thrown up. I don't think the Jet's ever had intentions on taking a QB in this draft, this was all stirred up by the fans and media. Once the saints took a QB it almost assured the Jets were going to make this deal because they knew the fans and media would have freaked out if we didn't pick up one of the "big 3 qb's". Now we can all relax and focus on getting great players across the board instead of focusing on the next broadway joe. I don't think we'll ever get close to that kind of talent out of this kid or penny but if we surround them with decent players they have a better chance to succeed.
