Jets will split with Buffalo and beat Miami TWICE. Remember the playoff game last year? The style the Ravens play is not good for Chad. They also were not fooled by the wild cat all. The Pats are probably 2 losses.

10-6! I have to be optimistic.

I like your optimism haha. 10-6 seems like a stretch (realistically and historically) but i personally dont think it is so ridiculous

Jet fans don't worry, this guy is a idiot..How do i know?

    3. Runner-up

    Percy Harvin, RB, Minnesota Vikings.

He lists PH as a running back, not a wide receiver. He's 100% douche. I stopped reading after that.

I agree with everything you said. People are too negative. The question people should ask is, is this team better than last year's 9-7 team? Well the defense is definitely better with three new starters and so is the HC. We are going to see an attacking defense rather than sit back and react.

Schotty had to adjust the offense to suit Favre. We now know that Leon is going to be used more and Schotty is not going to be handcuffed by Mangini anymore. The only two questions are that Coles is gone but he didn't exactly set the world on fire last season and Sanchez is a rookie. The negative people say that when Sanchez plays well in preseason it's just preseason and it means nothing but when the team is undisciplined then it means everything and we are doomed.

Favre stunk the last five games and we still finished 9-7. They say that the OL has no depth but neither did it last year. Rex has said that the reserve O linemen played well in Baltimore. He should know or he must be lying. They never say that the OL should be even better after one year under their belt with two new starters and OL coach. Is Chris Baker such a great player that he cannot be replaced? Will Keller and Stuckey be better or worse this year? Those are easy answers.

The bottom line is if this team is better than last year with a better HC would their record be better or worse than the 9-7 record of last year? Let's not forget last year's team beat NE and Tennessee in their stadiums. Are the other teams so much better this year?

I can't wait for the season to start.

Guys writing these articles like the one quoted in the OP are paid to write them. They can make for interesting reading, if well done with witty or truthful observations, but they quite obviously do not mean very much. It's hard to get upset about them, and I have long ago learned not to get crazy about someone dissing the Jets. It comes with the territory, I think it should be obvious.

since we were 8-3 going into those last 5 games, we were one lucky bounce (and one stupid play call by the Bills) from losing the last 5 games.

IDK why everyone is so afraid of the Titans. The Jets ran all over them with Haynesworth. Now they have no Haynesworth. They are not a great offensive team. I think we beat them.

The Jets get no respect ever. I mean i was down on this team too, half way through pre-season but then the team started to come together and i saw a lot of positives. I think we are gonna be a lot better then these so called experts think. I say we go 9-7 again despite our difficult scheduel

Take all these expert predictions with a grain of salt. The Ravens and Falcons had rookie head coaches and QBs last year and were both ranked near the bottom before the season started. There is just too much parity in the NFL to make accurate preseason predictions.

Whats the truth? The Jets won't win 9 games? fine. But what constitutes a flop? A flop would be like if the Colts were to not win 9 games this year. They have the talent. We have a rookie QB and its gonna be no surprise if we don't get to the playoffs.

And with the Offense: You wanna worry about Sanchez? Fine. But what else is wrong with them? The Offensive line is awesome and we have Cotch, Washington and Keller catching the ball along with 3 great runningbacks. The offense looked good this preason. As a matter of fact, I'm slightly more worried about the defense right now.

ah i wipe my ass (or rather my avatar girls ass  ) with preseason predictions from these "experts"...i think us fans that live this team day in and day out can determine our teams strengths and weaknesses against our opponents alittle bit better.

Duder. It's ESPN. Who cares? They hate the Jets almost as much as Florio. And they suck almost as much, too.

Think about it this way. If you were an "expert", and you picked the Jets to
NOT be awesome and win the superbowl, you would be perfect in you prediction for the last 40 years.

Its easy to predict the Jets will suck. Its easy to predicct the Patriots will dominate.

I want to see some interesting predictions. The anti-jets bias is so easy and obvious.

    I predict:
    1. Jets
    2. Bills
    3. Patriots
    4. Fins

    AFC Flop mention:
    17. Patriots. Brady fails to post moster stats in his return to the game. A shakey O-line and a weakened D-fense fails to dominate like in years past.

I suppose that it goes w/o saying that the so called experts get things wrong all the time. Nobody knows what the hell is going to happen. Thats why its so much damned fun and thats why so much $$$ gets wagered every week on football.
