They're pro football players and should run through a wall for Kotite if that's who the coach is(was) What they want is of no matter. They need the best possible coach that gets results regardless of if they want him or not
Running through a wall for your boss & running through a wall for a POTENTIAL boss among a pool of OTHER potential bosses are 2 very different thingS
And so it is. What kind of DC isnt capable of calling a full defensive set & needs someone to call the coverages? Not Richard’s fault either way
I don't trust or care what any of these guys say, especially after the efforts they gave under Bowles
Without a Kingsbury fan getting their panties in a wad, I'm looking for an honest answer. Without telling me he's a terrible recruiter, or talent doesn't go to TT. Why did Kingsbury have some of the worst defenses in the country (125/128, 128/128, 100/130, 86/214), a losing record, and got fired? Also, please explain the drop off in offense from #2 in the country in 2015 to 100th in 2018? Thanks
He has potential as an OC, but he's not HC material imo. At least not yet. For all this talk about needing innovative offense, I'm not willing to abandon defense.
I can understand not giving him a pass for losing at TT..but defense is another matter.TT & the big 12 in general have absolutely atrocious defense.Red raiders havent played D since Zach Thomas played there! Does he have a connection to a quality DC? If he does this isnt a concern of mine in the least. My counter to the lack of experience & colllege track record is DESPITE these underwhelming figures hes STILL highly regarded by multiple NFL teams as a headd coaching candidate. That tells me hes an extremely dynamic leader & football mind.
Not a TT fan so i could be completely off the base here but the Big 12 is notorious for not having any emphasis on defense. Also KK is an offensive mind, so not sure how much 'influence' he had over it (again, I don't follow them so i could be completely wrong). With offense, it might be down to worse QB play, having added a new OC among other things (not sure what it could be because again I don't follow them). With that being said, I do think that recruiting has a major factor in that (i know you said don't mention it but Texas is one of the most saturated places for CFB recruiting).
we might as well hire Gase as HC and Todd Haley as OC...… no one will F with us and the media will revolt LOL
Not that it really affects us but that one job down. Also I really don’t like it for the Packers. That Titans offense was miserable, kind of like McCarthys.
Aaron Rodgers picked that coach himself. Over his tenure as Packers coach Green Bay had a top 5 scoring offense 7 times
They have to be careful making too many concessions to Rodgers, as he's right on the precipice of a decline and they need to find his replacement soon
I don’t disagree but you have to keep him happy considering the financial investment and the fact that he’s still pretty damn good. You can be sure that he’s gotten assurances he won’t have to change every play in the huddle in order to make the offense work.
