Says the guy who is listed as choosing Pete Carmichael, Dave Toub and Mike McCarthy, not either Harbaugh - nothing like covering all the bases. It makes it so much easier to yell "I told you so" a year later.

(There is a possibility these votes were input after tonight's news on Harbaugh.)

I hope so. Harbaugh by far the best option.

I'm really not interested in McCarthy at all.
Rodgers carried the offense and the D was always shit.

With the exception of the RG3 fluke season, Shanahan hasn't been a good coach in over a decade. And the game is so different now than it was then that I think he's less Andy Reid and more Phil Jackson.

With every candidate taken out of the mix the chances of the Jets getting the right one diminishes. It sure would have been nice to have begun the search in earnest on November 12th.

At least there's one team less that may be competing for a head coach this time around (if the Ravens do actually come to agreement with Harbaugh.)

John Harbaugh is not on the hot seat.

Amid talk that Harbaugh could be on the way out if the Ravens don’t make the playoffs this year, the Ravens released a statement this afternoon saying that Harbaugh will be the Ravens’ head coach for the 2019 season.

He was on my short list for HC.
Now Mccarthy is looking to be my favorite. He has HC experience. He has a offensive background, he developed Rogers. He has a very good track record in his tenure in green bay. Could be Andy Reid 2.0 with a change in scenery.

Denver almost hired him last year. He met with Elway, who wanted to fire Joseph and hire him but Joe Ellis blocked him insisting Elway do a full coaching search and not just hand him the job. I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up as Denver's HC this off season.

Denver is a dumpster fire. About to finish their worst back to back seasons in 35 years. It's a nostalgia hire by one of his former favorite sons, nothing more. Not a good argument for wanting Shanahan. His time as a good HC ended when Elway and TD retired.

No McCarthy. He coaches with the same innovation as Jeremey Bates. He only won that Super Bowl when the Packers were absolutely stacked.

Untill Elway fires himself, that won't change. HOF QB, that can't evaluate QB talent.
If they beat the Raiders this week they are right where they were in 2010 record wise. 4-12 , 8-8 vs 5-11, 7-9.
Difference is they are coming off two 12 &13 win seasons where in 2010 they had two 8 win seasons and two 7 win seasons so that streak is far worse than this current one and that's 8 years ago. Not 35.
Gotta be hard to win a Super Bowl with Griese or Plummer as your QB. But he did get to the playoffs 4 times with them and the AFC championship game once.
Best of all, I never argued that I wanted Shanahan.

Nor should you now. His time has long passed. As I've said let Denver bid against themselves for old man Shanahan because no other team is.

pretty much my thinking - I would be really disappointed if that was the direction we went - every great HC was a newbie HC once - we just need to get a good one for a change.

I think we just approach Baltimore and convince them to give them to us, and then make THEM make the decision whether to keep him.

Shoot for 100 and accept 90.

    This is how this works.

  18. Ill take Mccarthy. Hes been a winner for a very long time from a franchise that knows offense.Sure hes had 2 franchise QBs well thats great cause Darnold will be his third.Im not interested in raiding the chiefs coaching staff just cause theyre the hot team at the moment.Thats how we ended up w Bowles cause the Cardinals were the hot team for basically the only time ever

Not sure this means John Harbaugh is out, just means may need to trade for him. Ravens protecting their asset. He's under contract for 2019
