Man that Kia guy was awful. When they were showing him blocking, all he was doing is grabbing on to the damn defenders jersey.

It does change quite a bit about the snap though. The way Sanchez receives the snap now, Mangold has to rotate the ball about 90 degrees so the tip of the ball doesn't hit Mark's hands and also so Mark can get his fingers on the laces. The way Namath was explaining it, the ball would have to come straight back with the point facing Sanchez. Now, I've never taken a snap like this, but I'd imagine it would take a split second longer for Sanchez to get his fingers on the laces. The advantages of this new snap is that it reduces fumbles (according to Namath) and that it would allow Mangold to use a T-formation snap (Two hands on the ball, which will allow him to use the momentum from the snap to move forward. I haven't seen this recently in the NFL, but it's still big in H.S. and some colleges). Mangold could also just use the standard one handed snap if he desired.

If fumbles become a problem for Mark, then I'm all for whatever technique that will work. However, I'd rather see Mark improve on not dropping his hand during the snap, something Namath also pointed out.

You could see Namath getting pissed, watching them drop the snap in the rain in the goal line drill. I love that he's still so into it all these years after retiring, like he was going in for the next series.

As others have mentioned in this thread, I really was not fazed at all when he was shown being cut. I felt pretty bad for Basped, however.

It shows you just how differently the staff felt about both players when you've got Tanny and Rex wishing Basped the best once he's released, and on the the other hand, you've got Kia who was basically thrown out of a moving car. Maybe, I'm cold hearted, but as I said, I did not care much for Kia while watching the episode.

THE shot of the episode was the last shot of the opening...

Great show, although watching it had defintaely made me more pessemistic about seeing Revis play this year. Hopefully Revis watched it and feels a little more compelled to start playing.

The Basped part made me realize that Revis should try to get as much money as he can. When you're hurt, there are no handouts in the NFL.
