She meant well, just young and stupid, needing the guy's attention when his mind is clearly on what's going to happen. I don't know how people that young handle a wife and kids, I couldn't do it myself until my late 30s. I'd have probably snapped and said GTFO, let me peel my damn potatos. Kudos to him for not doing that.

Wow, I joke about my wife being a pain in the ass. I have to wonder what kind of cunts you people are married to if you have a problem with Chauncey's wife trying to cheer him up. That's what a good partner does for their spouse; support them when they need it the most. Sure, he clearly wanted no part of it, but to call her a bitch or stupid for trying to be supportive to her husband is dickish at best.
Finally, a reasonable voice! Remember, she's not a football player trying to make it in the NFL, so she has no idea about the stress that goes into trying to make the roster. She saw her husband stressing, and tried to make him feel better. It's not like the cake said "We're in the money now! Superbowl MVP bitche$!!", it was just to show that she was proud of what he'd done thus far. And as far as sounding stupid, she had their kid in her arms, and was clearly talking with/for the kid, like many parents do. But she did have a case of horsemouth going though...
Last episode sucked cock. 2 good parts(from what i remember) "he has fucking 3 years left on his fucking contract" **walks out of room** "Hey guys we got some slap dick player joining us today" **enter revis** edit: number 3 "this is easy you suck schotty"
I thought it was pretty awesome the way she was trying to buoy his feelings. He gave her the cold shoulder and she kept trying, at least for the short clip. Seems like a good woman to me.
I thought Washington looked bad there. He barely acknowledged his wife and kid's presence and then took only a glance at the sign.
On the flip side, give him a break. The amount of stress he had to have been under being #54 on a 53man roster on the verge of making an NFL team with at least one camera in his house watching him had to have been unbelievable. He seemed to do well in the meeting where he was cut. I'd like to see many other people the night before they're fired have a TV camera filming the day leading up to it. Overall it had to be a really rough day for the Washington family and it was caught on film. I'm glad no one gets my bad days on film.
Wasn't the cake(and that scene) before he got cut and signed to the PS? I think at that point they thought he made it, right?
I oftentimes carefully word my posts. In the one above I wrote, "I thought Washington looked bad there." He was busy peeling potatoes. Maybe he had a headache. Maybe he was very nervous about his place on the team. Maybe he had a nasty shit coming on. Maybe he was mad at his wife because earlier in the day she didn't clean up the kid's toys on the floor. I don't know if he is a bad guy. I just thought that in that particular scene he didn't look good. The other sentence I had in the above post was a statement of fact.
Yeah, I'm not criticizing her for it, just saying it's not what he needed at that moment, which was obvious. Like I said, she meant well, can't fault her for that.
It's a dumb move on her part. Imagine that your job is laying off employees on a particular day, and the night before your wife throws a party, makes a sign, and bakes a cake to congratulate you on making the cut.
