Speaking of Fluke, I'll be back it in almost 2 weeks. Jersey Fluke season ends on 9.24 so I'll be on the boat the Sunday before. Going out on the Ocean Explorer out of Belmar so if anyone wants to join, let me know and I'll bring the Stellas!

    Tight Lines!!!

We gave most away to family and friends. One of them we boiled, the other we basted with garlic, butter and some herbs, than a quick sear on the grill over kiawe wood (similar to mesquite). Both were very tasty and fresh!

I was born and raised here on O‘ahu, the most urbanized of all the islands. The Big Island is by far my favorite. Great fishing (especially deep sea, blue marlins and tunas), diving and is overall so diverse. One side of the island is rainy like Seattle, the other side is dry as a dessert and surrounded by lava fields.

Most people visit O'ahu when they come to Hawai'i. It's nice, but too crowded and doesn't have a "Hawai'i" feel at all. The Big Island, Kaua'i, and Maui does. You should definitely come check it out!

That's the way to do it. Lime butter on the grill. Nice bugs! look like the FL bugs we have here.

    How deep you grab em?

    Night? so you're using tanks?

Unfortunately here in NEFL we don't have any nearshore reefs like we do down south, and the nearshore water visibility sucks due to the natural inlets / marsh mud/tanin (like ice tea). To dive up here you need to go pretty far offshore via boat.

That's about the only I thing I miss about south FL..... more surf here

No tanks bro..don't touch that stuff. All natural free dive to the spot. Good thing light winds and lower tide.

LOL. Every hawaiian I ever dove with claimed to be a free diver and I only ever saw two do it without puking when they got back up.

lol don't gotta hate. Appreciate. My 'Ohana been doing this for years. We don't claim it, we live it. Train hard, so our bodies can be in the best shape to put food on the table. This is how we do

FWIW, I'm already in the planning stages for a Hawaii trip in '14. I'm pretty sure I can get wifey to go along with this especially this far in advance. BTW, what time of year is best to visit? Need this 411 so we can plan our vacation days.

I live in south Texas. I am a master diver without an ocean.

But just reading your posts is funny enough.

You are welcome to ask me any questions that you think would qualify me as a diver. I'm sure I would pass.

I don't care how qualified you are. If you're a dive master good for you, I ain't gonna hate. But your original post towards me was that "every Hawaiian that claimed to be a free diver always ended up puking except a couple of them". I guess you've dove with every Hawaiian in existence? Surely not me or my family. You affiliate with Hawai‘i and left with no Aloha? Auwē.
