He's doing the best he can with a shitty secondary that was a weakness last season and got worse this season. Blame Idzik in this regard, not Rex.
My bad. But I am not talking only about this game. His D comes short on crunch times. Falco. I respect you as a poster. See the big picture please.
1/6 in the redzone. INT in the redzone. Pick 6 to start the game. Running out of bounds for a loss. Throwing to their only good secondary player Fuller all game when the rest of the secondary is scrubs.
He had a rough game with the turnovers but lets not excuse the awful goal line called game by Marty. He had these issues in Philly, this is nothing new. He was dreadful when it came to the goal line, the field shortens for his bullshit tricks in the bag.
That Culter fumble that should had been a TD for Davis. Yeah that Rex fault. The bullshit PI call that put Bears inside the 5. I guess that Rex fault?
You are nuts to blame the 1/6 in the red zone on Geno. I saw some uninspired playcalling, I got tired of having Nelson try and do a short comeback on back to back 3rd down throws.
I do see the big picture lol We were ranked 3rd overall on defense before this game. We are first against the run. We held them to 250 total yards tonight, only 60 on the ground. This defense is an excellent unit. Yes, we have our struggles, but this defense is beyond good. Offense? That's a different story.
It has nothing to do with Geno being an NFL QB or not, we refused to pound the ball and had Geno try and do a QB draw when it wasn't necessary.
Eh if the right coach were available I can't say I wouldn't think about it. We need better talent evaluation here that includes the head coach.
I love Rex and think he's a terrific defensive coordinator ... but if it's his decision to play Geno over Vick (rather than Idzik forcing it on him), then he needs to be fired immediately. Being a terrific defensive coordinator does not give you carte blanche to start one of the worst QBs in the league for six years straight. At some point, as a head coach, you have to actually try to not shit the game away week after week.
Well, we're looking at 1-6 and facing the Bills on Oct 26 4-12 is definitely a possibility, so, Rex may well be gone
Oh yes, fire Rex! It wasn't long ago that most of the posters on this board thought we would get blown out by Green Bay and Chicago. We weren't. We were in both games right to the end. Lets set the bar low, greatly exceed it, and then complain that we aren't the best team in football. Fire Rex! We barely lost two games we weren't even expected to be competitive in! Why do we put up with this crap??!?!?!
