I do, we won a SB with a dumb QB so did the Raiders and the Steelers won four of them with dumb QB. I think Marino was drooling dumb coming out of college. Not everyone can be Ken Dorsey.
what pisses me off the MOST are those of you who say "don't take the risk". tell me ONE championship team that played it safe every time and never took a risk. big things come from big risks. we've been waiting over 30 years. take the risk, and hope it propells us to another championship
Stupid argument. If you have the chance to choose you chose who you think is better. I don't see many people who say Young is the best QB in draft or even better than Cutler. If you do so - try to convice us of Young. If not - don't talk about risks. Btw: Tell me one team that picked a player who was as unsure as Young instead of a safer QB and won a sb with him as a franchise qb.
If we don't take a QB, the remaining QB no matter who it is, if the draft order remains the same, it would be guaranteed that one won't be in the top 10, so from that standpoint it isn't something against Young more that not many teams at the top doesn't need QBs, also Pro Days and combines mean nothing, it only matters what they do on the field and he put a team on his shoulders and won a championship, beating Leinart in the process, and Cutler lost to Middle Tenn St at home so he never had the chance to be in that situation
You are assuming that teams have Cutler and Lienart rated ahead of Young. That is a big assumption on your part at the moment. By the time the draft rolls around and the thermometers are pulled out of the asses of all the QB prospects, Young may very well be at the top of the draft board. Where risk comes into play is weighing upside vs NFL readyness and even that is a subjective. Since Young and Lienart haven't really participated in the combines or Senior bowl, until teams finish working them out nobody really knows how these guys are rated against each other yet.
young throws the ball freakin side arm. A lot of his throws will get batted down by the defensive line or other Defensive players
I dont tihnk terry bradshaw could get a two on the wonderlic, but he was a good qb that test means nothing
But Cutler worked out and did a great job. What's the information we get from the fact that yout @ cng AND leinart didn't work ouombine? right, they're physically not that great. Leinart showed that he's a complete player and leader. Cutler showed that he's phisically great and good @ playing "on the run". Young showed that he's good @ picking up rushing yards whith a dominating o-line + throwing good passes in an easy o# system behind a good line. maybe anyone knows something i don't know...
Sean salisbury is the dummest man on television, he's also the definition of a flip-flopper and a bandwagon jumper
cutler may always have a good "workout", but he is definetely not in the same league as young or lienart. taking cutler at #4 would be a bigger risk than taking young or moving up to take lienart.
