WE NEEDED PLAYMAKERS, and we had a chance to get a great one at 29 in Jackson and passed it up. Sure our line will be great in the future but we'll be a boring, bad team next year.
If the Jets don't like Calhoun or Daniels, they shouldn't even draft a RB. Just hope Blaylock can play.
They announced the Teague signing as an O-Lineman, not as a center. Teague had playe OT for Denver before going to the Bills. Chances are he's be like the "6th man" on the O-line. He could backup any position.
After Mangold, you had Eslinger, who I like, but is a twig. The rest of the 2006 C class sort of suck. We needed a C, we got the best one to come out in a few years. This pick I like. I'll laugh my ass off if we take Justice at 35. The sting of the Brick pick has worn off, so I can enjoy the comedy now. The sad part is that we could have gone Hawk/Davis, Mangold, Justice. Adrian Jones must have given Mangini's wife a golden shower or something.
i hope teague can also play guard, becasue i dont understand them spending money on signing their backup center when they used a 1st round pick on a center. especially when they have so many needs
Jackson played in that spread offense at Florida. Trust me, he won't be making plays in a pro offense till 2008 at the earliest- if ever.
You really don't? Considering how many players went down for the Jets last season it seems pretty reasonable to invest in some backups.
