Adams, Titus - DT Strengths: Possesses good overall size. Has adequate height and is extremely well built. Thickly built with a strong lower body. He shows adequate-to-good initial quickness. Is not fast but is fluid and mobile for his size. Shows good COD skills and balance for a 320-pound DT. His biggest asset is his ability to stand OL up, disengage and pursue. He shows very good recognition skills and knows how to use his hands in order to quickly get off of blocks. He chases hard when fresh. Takes good angles in pursuit and is a powerful tackler. Does a solid job of wrapping up in space for a big guy. Can be extremely disruptive versus the run in spurts. At his best when playing a three-technique. Likes to work as a "shaded" DT and seems to be most effective in a one-gap role. Is extremely durable. Never missed a game due to injury during four collegiate seasons. Weaknesses: Lacks stamina and wears down too quickly. Needs to improve his conditioning and might even benefit from shedding some weight. He possesses two-gap size but is really a one-gap player. He is at his best when on the move and chasing, so he become extremely ineffective when tired. He lacks a strong upper body and does not show the ability to knock OL back with initial contact. He is a marginal pass rusher. Does not show an array of effective moves. Lacks burst through the LOS. Notched just one sack in final three seasons at Nebraska. Overall: Adams redshirted in 2001 and played as a reserve in all 13 games in 2002. He continued to play in a backup role in all 13 games of the 2003 season, when he finished with 27 tackles and zero sacks. He did have two interceptions that season, one of which he returned for a TD. As a junior in 2004, he started 10 games and finished with 37 tackles, eight tackles for loss and zero sacks. Adams had his best season as a senior in 2005, when he started all 12 games and finished with 50 tackles, five TFL and one sack. Adams is a unique DT prospect in that his body type is that of a two-gap player but he is very much a one-gap DT prospect. Also, while he is quick, mobile and disruptive versus the run, he has never developed into a productive pass rusher. Adams has the potential to emerge as a situational contributor in a one-gap scheme in the NFL either as a DT or NT. However, he offers almost no promise as a pass rusher at the next level and he will need to improve his conditioning in order to maximize his potential. Adams grades out in the fifth-to-sixth round range of the 2006 draft class.
Strengths: An excellent athlete with good speed and quickness who moves well...Has a big, solid frame with long arms...Excels at clogging the middle of the line and stuffing the run...Does a good job of shedding blocks...Versatile...Smart player with good intangibles...Has lots of experience and was very durable...Still has some upside. Weaknesses: Provides very little in terms of a pass rush...Has an inconsistent motor...Probably needs to lose some weight...Tends to wear down and lacks stamina...Has to hit the weights...With his ability you would have expected some more productive. Notes: Was a top recruit coming out of high school...Saw some action at defensive end, defensive tackle and even tight end during his career...A prospect with some interesting physical tools to develop but you wonder if the light will ever come on
Looked it up and Titus is a big run stuffer with absolutely 0 pass rushing skill... a project that was once a top recruit out of high school. Great guy for the 7th rounder.
I'm guessing they believe a group of Robertson, Pouha, and Adams is going to be good enough for year 1 in rebuilding.

WOW. I may just have to eat my crow. This guy's endurance problems won't be a problem. DRob can play half the plays, and he can play the other half. This is a GOOD pick.
Ok, well know I would hope that they start looking to see who doesn't get drafted and work the phones to sign some of those guys.
I like a fat ass in the middle and a run-stuffing MLB. Get these guys going and the rush from the outside in a 3-4 will be awesome.
Titus Adams wasn't projected to go in Round One, buddy. Obviously nobody at Radio City Music Hall is as convinced of this guy's skill as you are. 225 times.
