I think it was a gigantic let down after the first two movies were so on point in every aspect. Rises was still awesome from a cinematic standpoint and like you said the characters were very well done. I just didn't like how absent from a lot of the movie Batman was. It obviously had to happen based on how it was written, but he's gone and weak and beaten to shit the entire movie then comes back and hasn't lost a step.
I thought the movie was very very mediocre. Oh let me stop being Batman because Rachel is dead ... Bane lost by getting punched in the mask by Batman lol ... :Bane Voice: "OH NOEZ MY MASK ..." Never thought I would say this but Affleck is going to be the best batman / Bruce Wayne to date.
Tom Hardy played a great character that happened to be named Bane. That's literally the only thing they took from the Bane character. From a comic standpoint he was shit. Anne Hathaway was probably the only good thing about rises.
I am starting to get more excited for Suicide Squad. Only a few weeks away now. I've read up more on Suicide Squad and it's members. Plus, of course, I am interested to see Jared Leto's take on the Clown Prince of Crime.
I don't think it's as much of a disaster as some would claim it is but still didn't think it was anywhere near a good film. Are we supposed to think Superman is an unlikeable dick and want to see Batman kick the shit out of him? Lex Luthor is a disaster of an idea. Batman is pretty cool but even then I couldn't get into him as a psychopath. The whole thing felt like one big ill conceived idea of someone who shouldn't be anywhere near these characters.
Superman was lame, but Superman has always been lame so I wasn't too surprised by that. The plot and the reason they stop fighting is pretty poorly written. Not to mention you have this fucking monster world destroying super villain that they take down in like 6 minutes.
Honest Trailers did a great job ripping it to shit. "Is she with you?" "I thought she was with you." You emailed her 30 minutes ago.
