Guy has underperformed and was a little overdrafted by the Raiders but I could see JD putting in a claim for Leatherwood.
JD just won’t get rid of the herpes name Davis, looks like he did Wesco thankfully bc Cager deserved that spot. But Davis??? And are we keeping 4 RBs? And why
To early for vitriol. Some fans are freaking out already because so and so is still on the team versus so and so and so and so should have gone first. Whatever rocks your boat, but our emotions are forgetting the fact that we have a long way to go, trades might be in work, timing of each cut is a consideration, who they want to protect and why, who has a better chance of clearing waivers for the PS, who is been expected to be released from another team they are targeting. Point of fact we know very little as to the final, complete cut. So far there is nothing that at worst is a mild surprise, but not unexpected, it would have been done sooner than later, so I’m not going to totally hyperventilate because our 4th stringer is there instead of White or Davis is still hanging around. More importantly, we need to find a couple of jewels from another team to improve our roster. I will reserve the right to be unhappy after the fist final cut is official, and fully expect to loose a few players that will make another team. Our talent base has improved that much. Even after 4 ET moves will be made. I can bet than many of the guys people are crying about will be sitting in the practice squad when is all well and down.
I take back my statement for Leatherwood. No way am I paying him these guarantees. If we goes unclaimed through waivers, then maybe you could sign him to another deal.
Cut down day is pretty stressful for us fans as evidenced by the posts in this thread. I can imagine what a rough day it is for these players. Then they have to hold on and hope they are still there after waiver wire pickups.
I really thought they might go with 3 RBs and focus on Hall & Carter. Mild surprise to see Johnson & Knight make it. Sounds like no FB, but 4 TEs. IOL depth sounds a little shaky. I wonder what they see in Nathan Shepherd. He's not even a JD pick.
Maybe they are trying to trade him and hope to sign Will Parks afterwards. That would be a master-stroke.
