I didn't. I posted data and you interpreted it that way. You're looking at a 50 yard difference between TWO DIFFERENT YEARS. 2014 and 2015. 50 yards between 2014 and 2015. If you look at any SAME YEAR, 50 yards will be a massive difference. You really don't understand that concept?
No, not at all. But I do expect him to: 1) Know how to use timeouts. Fans on their couch have better time management skills. 2) Know when a player is past their prime and needs to move (Revis, for example). 3) I would never expect his previous team to get better without him.
and everything you mentioned comes with experience and takes time to fine tune. If Bowles is making these same mistakes in year 3 (Herm never did learn the nuances of the clock), I'll be right there screaming for his head on a pike too. Until then, give the man time to grow into the position of HC. They're not made over night or even over the course of a single season.
Oh wow, so you mean each time a QB gets hit its recorded as a sack? Well I didn't know that! Also, consider the fact that Big Ben hated Todd Haley's offense when he first arrived. It took them 2 seasons for the team to get behind the system, in which they began breaking Steeler records.
See, that's where I disagree. Coaches rarely ever "learn" clock management. You either have it or you don't. Fans have better clock management. That's bad.
Wrong again. They started breaking Steelers records when Antonio Brown broke out in 2013 and they acquired Le'veon Bell. They also signed several linemen (but let's ignore that).
I thought we had some troll controls on this board? The OP needs to banned or prevented from starting threads.
So 2 seasons after Arians left they started breaking records? What a coincidence, so they WERE a better offense AFTER Arians left. You really think the Steelers getting more lineman caused them to protect Big Ben better? The center barely stayed healthy, they've lost plenty of tackles throughout the season. Tell me what is Haley's offense based off in comparison to Arian's offense?
It's possible the Cards had better QB play in 15 (Palmer 16 games) than they did in 14 (split between Palmer, Stanton and some dub). When the offense plays well, the defense is not on the field as often... giving up fewer yards. 50 yards is one possession these days, and it didn't have to end in a score. It could also be Cromartie was the difference maker, if all were going on is yardage.
I understand it. Do you not understand that this makes your point even dumber? There are so many variables that it's flat out lazy to try and make your point using those stats.
Is that what you call it? You started two threads Revis sucks Bowles sucks. Just admit you are a Pats fan and leave the board.
No. 3 years after he left. And after the best WR in the game broke out. And after they gained a top 5 RB. And after they signed linemen. You can pretend like youre right all you want, but you're not. Want more stats? * Ben Roethlisbergers INT rate under Arians was 2.2%. Last year under Haley it was 3.4% * Ben Roethlisbergers TD rate under both Arians and Haley is 5.05% - The same. * In 2012, a full year after Arians was gone, Ben said he wanted Arians back and was not happy with Haley. He had to apologize for this later *Average offensive ranking under Arians: #11.7 in NFL Average offensive ranking under Haley: #11.6 in NFL * Arians led the #1 offense last year. I don't know why you're arguing something youre so wrong about.
NOOOOOOOOOOO. Blasphemy. Wash out your tongue with soap. F the Pats. F Brady. And respectfully, F you for calling me a Pats fan.
When Bowles was there, the Cardinals lost a bunch of guys on defense and had a crappy offense for a lot of the year and was still really solid. The defense kept them in games. To say they got better when Bowles left isn't necessarily true, especially when he was responsible for providing that very foundation the Cardinals defense stands on today.
So you still did not understand my question, and you did not answer it. What is the difference between the offenses? Big Ben was very stubborn as I pointed out previously, but now Haley and Big Ben are best friends. Haley is responsible for Big Ben getting to another level in terms of quarterbacking and prolonged Big Ben's career. In terms of personnel again, with Arians they had a lot of weapons on offense. The offensive line with Haley hasn't been able to stay healthy, the top 5 RB is barely on the field for 16 games a yr. So the personnel argument holds 0 weight here.
