I like this. There are no great QB prospects coming out next year but there are a few good ones. Bain is a great player at a high value position that's a major need. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Having the #1 pick with their choice of GM and a bit of cap space could actually be a tempting package to a decent candidate. But it’s the Jets, and it this point that really matters.
I don’t see three wins there….I think it’s more likely we lose them all than win three more…we are not beating that Browns D, the Dolphins have had our number for a long time now, and the Saints are still better than us. I can’t seriously imagine we go 0 for the season, so I’ll say we win one game, maybe two on the high side, because crazy things can happen…
This is where I land as well. 0-17 is the most realistic and probably outcome. While I place the Saints about on the same plane, we're in their building. They have a very real homefield advantage. Now, in my opinion, Carolina was the only team where I thought they could shit the bed as much as the Jets. They certainly tried but the Jets won the "shit the bed" award in this pairing of bad teams. Want to know the biggest slap in the mouth, though? I'm watching the 49'ers/Falcons game and Saleh basically has street FA's holding the #1 offense in the league to 10 points. You cannot write this shit. Crazy insane.
Miami will be a win, they have officially quit on McDaniel probably the Saints. Probably the Browns. I don’t see those young QBs faring well if this defense keeps it up. Then at least one game, someone has to be unlucky. Fumbles, interceptions. Flacco has been known to do that so maybe this weekend? Or a Baltimore backup? Or a Buffalo backup at the end of the season? 4 or 5 wins.
You hit the nail on the head. 1st overall pick may become quite important for many reasons. What if one of these QBs shakes out as a clear cut #1. Say Mendoza lights it up, and people think is he is the guy everyone believes is the next best thing, which is very possible. Then all of the sudden that top pick not only gives us the best chance at a good QB, but also would attract a coach who wants to work with the next best thing. We have to see how it all plays out, but at this point we are essentially back to Gase's second year: tank to get rid of him and get the best QB. As sad as it is to admit, but I think we have reached that point now baring a miracle. The ship is turning too slow and in the wrong direction. Titanic turning into direction of iceberg.
That year we lost out on Trevor Lawrence was gut wrenching. Baring injury, I don’t think we win more than one game and that game would be the dolphins, which would be difficult for tiebreaker. Mendoza is our guy with a HC attached.
Amen. There are some scrappy wins in there with Taylor under center, no doubt by a single field goal. I’m still saying 3 wins and the #4 pick.
