Most likely just a move to save cash. Cutting him was always a dumb option, now it's pretty obvious we aren't cutting him.
Might make him more tradeable? For the record, i would like to keep him Sent from my SM-G610Y using Tapatalk
There's 0.0000% reason to trade and get rid of the guy especially without Mosley. It's very clear they want to keep him they just want him to get paid like he's part of a rotation, which he is at this point. Cashman, Hewitt, Williamson and Burgess are all going to rotate it seems with Cashman and Hewitt looking like the early favorites.
Right. So who said the jets will be bringing in Fournette? And also I dont think any elite back would have been successful behind that dreadful offensive line. Of course Gase will say he could have done better for Bell, the whole offense was trash in total. Its good in this league to have RB depth in general, I dont see why having depth is a bad thing especially a guy whos 27 years old.
No one said it but there are people, like yourself in this very post, saying we should. It's not as black and white as "Jets need RB depth, Fournette is good and only 27, let's sign him". You have to do a deeper dive. There's no way in hell you can successfully have Bell and Fournette... two dudes who clearly want to be the main guy... sharing time in a backfield. That's just a very bad idea.
He's perfect for our team, we should sign him and have bell line up in the slot or run short/medium routes out of the backfield. With how injury prone our team us, that might not be a bad idea.
I mean there's no chance it would ever happen but I'd be fine moving Bell to WR almost permanently and signing Fournette. Like I said though, no chance.
https://www.revengeofthebirds.com/2...rafted-free-agent-zane-lewis-to-biggest-bonus Arizona Cardinals sign Air Force undrafted free agent Zane Lewis to biggest bonus By Seth Cox@SCoxFB May 1, 2020, 6:00am MDT The Arizona Cardinals signed 21 undrafted free agents and we’ll take a look at them over the next four or five days. Let’s get to know them before they are gone. Air Force cornerback Zane Lewis was the undrafted free agent the Arizona Cardinals paid the most, let’s get to know him. From the team: “Air Force cornerback Zane Lewis (6-1, 190) played in 37 games the past three seasons with the Falcons and had 94 tackles, five tackles for loss and two interceptions. As a senior in 2019, the Richmond, VA native played in all 13 games and had 45 tackles and one interception while ranking fourth in the Mountain West with a team-leading 15 passes defensed. In 2018, he played in 12 games (11 starts) and recorded 43 tackles, five tackles for loss, an interception and had a team leading six passes defensed. In 2019, Lewis was a part of an Air Force team that finished with an 11-2 overall record for only the third time in school history. An interesting note on Lewis from scouting profiles: Lance Zierlein: Lewis has a smooth backpedal to mirror and match the release and has the short-area quickness to maintain feel for the route. Despite the athletic traits, he still needs to cultivate his anticipation so he can play a more instinctive brand of coverage. He’s suited for zone or man coverage and has the top-end speed to run with vertical routes. He’s below average in run support and needs to improve his overall tackling. When you look at Lewis, you see an NFL cornerback. He may be like Kevin Peterson, where they give you an extended look to see if you can step up to the physicality of the game because of the already advanced cover skills.
Put it where only Bell could get it with the safety closing in. Nice read. Problem is he was staring Bell down from the snap. A better S probably plays that better but it might not have mattered.
You always stare down a back shoulder throw. It's one of the most difficult passes to defend and is reliant completely on timing and perfect placement. Please see the same "stare down" from a guy like Aaron Rodgers below: But leave it to you to find a negative in everything LOL
You have some weird complex man. It’s odd. I started by saying it was a nice ball and ended by saying the defense probably wouldn’t have mattered because it was a well-placed ball.
I have a weird complex? Lol Darnold throws a perfect ball that only Bell could catch and you have to make the comment "Problem is he was staring Bell down from the snap. A better S probably plays that better". That goes completely against the purpose of a back shoulder throw.
exactly. it's not a misdirection play. the ball is going to a set spot where it's either incomplete or a TD. it's up to bell to make the play and sam to put it in the right spot, but it's not a read and react or misdirection play at all
Whatever gets ya wet man. I’ll just continue enjoying the video like I did when I first saw it and each subsequent time after.
