So there are reports that The $72 Million Man will be benched today because he missed practices and meetings. I wonder if this could affect MacCagnan’s future, considering that he was the prize FA acquisition last year and has been a complete disaster?

 

Perhaps.However it was reported that trumaine is one of the rifts between MAC/Bowles.It was Bowles & his staff that wanted & pushed hard for Johnson..

 

In some ways that makes it worse - he was intimidated into dramatically overpaying someone he didn't want? Hardly reflects well on his leadership abilities.

To me the gigantic wild card is (are) the Johnsons. Any attempt to use logic to try to figure out what they are going to do is probably doomed to failure.

In 2014, our strength was DL with middling DBs and LBs. Now, our strength is secondary with middling DL and LBs.

Mediocre receivers, RBs and offensive line. Talent wise, how are we any better off today?

 

That I didn't know. Still this is partly on Mac too if he had the ability to say no and conceded. Or this could be on ownership if they told Mac "Get Bowles his guy"
