Still on Cloud 8! So happy and proud of my team! I truly thank all the hockey fans on this board for their support too. I know this is a Jets site (with mostly Rangers/Islanders fans), but I have loved talking hockey with you guys for the last decade as well. I eventually will need to go to sleep soon, but I have been rocking!

It has honestly been crazy for a couple weeks. We could feel it coming and the crowds just keep growing and growing. Thursday night was nuts for sure. The only negative is I couldn't get a hat yesterday. They sold out instantly. I bought a couple shirts but have to continue to hat hunt today. Haha. My friends keep getting upset with all these pop-up "Bandwagon" fans, but I don't mind. People love winners and the Capitals are now. I say let them enjoy it. They can't feel what me or true Caps fans of many years are feeling right now, but I say celebrate!
Me too! Can't forget the first 2 games of the playoffs: Wow, those first 2 home games against Columbus were rough on me and most Caps fans! Who would have known that that would be the end of all the years of pain and suffering? One last taste of defeat, then insert Holtby, win 16 games, and change how they are looked at forever.
Trust me, I have! Thanks, @CBG! One question I have for the thread, is many people said Ovechkin was the best current NHL player without a Stanley Cup. Now he has it, so who do you think takes that spot now? McDavid is the best player, but he is still young, so I think my vote goes to The King: Henrik Lundqvist. Hopefully the Rangers find a way to put a Cup caliber team around him before it is too late. He has been my favorite goalie for many years and is still up there with Holtby for me.

I wish the series had gone another game or even a game 7 because it was that good, but I'm sure you're just relieved to have it over with and that you don't have to live with The Golden Knight as your screen name for a week. But, yeah, what a feeling!
Haha, thanks @jetophile! Yeah, my friend and I were talking earlier that Game 6 would be happening right now if they had lost. Having the Cup is much better than the stress of a Game 6! And yeah, I would have switched to The Golden Knight for a week, but I really did not think that would happen. I believed my team would get the job done and they did.
