Niskanen led Washington in ice time as usual, but didn't record a point in almost 27 minutes. Hard to do when your team scores 6 times.
Wild with their first lead in their last seven playoff games. Meanwhile, out West, the Sharks continue to steamroll the Kings. oh, and this from the Caps game: http://www.cbssports.com/nhl/eye-on...ce-with-bracelets-despite-pa-announcers-pleas
Dallas just got an absurdly lucky goal with multiple deflections off player's bodies and Dallas probably interfered with Dubnyk while he was in the crease but the officials blew the call
Pominville hadn't scored in 13 games, got two tonight, including an empty netter to seal it Minnesota scored once in Dallas, but scored 5 times tonight.
no doubt that was intentional I just saw the replay he was well behind behind Orlov and had plenty of time and decided he was going to try to break Orlov's neck by ramming him head first into the boards then when Orlov was being treated, Philly fans were throwing things at him. He got hit with something. It's time the NHL took action against coaching and management for rewarding this kind of behavior. It's not enough to suspend the players. Philly for years has been teaching this.
No need to post this as you already know, but Philadelphia's players and fans are a complete embarrassment to the sport. What a joke. Proud of my Caps for their pure domination, but it was truly ugly tonight. That would suck to be a Flyers fan. Glad Orlov was okay after that.
Probably so. Caps with their first ever 3-0 series lead. I was pretty sure the Flyers would win Game 3. Then they scored instantly and I was like "yep." Caps disagreed though as they beat them down from then on. Interesting to see how Game 4 will go now.
That game was a must win but I expect them to lose Game 4 and eventually the series. I can't put my finger on it but they are missing something from their lineup. Gaborik's scoring touch maybe? Probably
I won't believe the Sharks can beat them until they actually do, but the Kings weren't able to get much space all game while the Sharks got good pressure just couldn't get pucks to the net. Killing three penalties in the third is incredible, especially one that was essentially a 5-3 because one of the Kings list his stick, and the Sharks only got one shot on goal. Sharks certainly look to be the better team, but if the Kings win game 4 I'd consider this series over.
Gaborik played Games 2 and 3. He's on the Kopitar line again. May be somewhat limited but they seem to think he's ok. I watched the second and third periods plus OT incredible the way the Kings killed off all those penalties, and in one, as mentioned, the Sharks had sustained pressure and one of the Kings was playing without a stick for what seemed like over a minute.
Absolute horseshit call against the Blues. Corey Crawford attacks a player for no reason and Chicago gets a power play. 1-1 good game so far.
Blues hang on and get the win. Shaw starts a brawl at the end of the game, pretty sure he flipped off a ref, that guys a fuckin douche.
