That is. Especially with Rangers-Pens playing Wednesday then Saturday. Guess that is how all the team's arena schedules worked out.

yeah, occasionally it's basketball, but more often it's other events

amazing how arenas book events during playoff time. I guess the arenas think their teams suck and won't be playing in April/May.

Anaheim series should've started already and you should never have a back to back in the playoffs. NBA and NHL sometimes have three day breaks in between playoff games, so a back to back?

They know neither team is physical, so they will expend very little energy in this series.

Be ready for that TDK, especially if they are down 2-0 going back to Filthy

I respectfully disagree, it's playoff hockey, they should be physical, they managed to keep it a one goal game.

Nice win for the caps, I think this works out in their favor, playing the Flyers is going to make them play a more physical game. Nice win for them.

If the eastern conference teams want a chance to win the cup, they better pick up their physical play, because any team representing the west is going to bring the hammer in the finals.

They already gooned it up last night, but the Caps did not blink an eye. Good Game 1 but it felt like the Rangers series last year (strategy wise). I wish the Caps were more aggressive to get a bigger lead. 1 goal leads are never safe. MoJo to Beagle was a beautiful play to make it 2-0 though. Need to get that second goal earlier. Overall I can't complain though. Solid game especially the 2nd and 3rd periods.
No doubt the Flyers are dirty though. Problem is they are a bully picking on a bigger, stronger, bully. Not smart. Haha.

I don't know why the rest of my sentence did not come out, I also wrote " until the caps forced the TO"

If the flyers want to have a chance, they need to stay physical, they can't try to play a skating game with the caps, if they do, the caps will score at will.

Coaches challenge has to go. Blues lost a tough one yesterday on an offside challenge that nobody really gave a shit about, changed the game (and series) drastically. Blues can't catch any breaks in the offs.

I agree. First of all, offsides is ridiculous to begin with.

Second of all, the idea of erasing a goal that was already scored due to a replay showing that a guy was an inch offsides a minute earlier is really objectionable.

What is wrong with people that think this is acceptable?

If the goal was scored illegally, fine, review it and give the option to take it off the board.

Stop taking legitimate goals off the board due to offsides, which should just be removed from the rulebook entirely if they're going to insist on it being reviewable.

Sharks continue their outstanding play on the road, as they are about to go up 2-0 in the series. Let's see if they revert to the gutless Sharks at home.

Blackhawks-Blues continuing to prove it is the best of the Round 1 series. Entertaining first period of Game 3. 1-1 after 1 in a 1-1 series.

    I was wrong about everything

I went against San Jose and Dallas, two of the three most impressive teams of the first round (along with Washington).

Minnesota cannot get any offensive production without Parise and Vanek.

Well, as a Caps fan, I know not to count your chickens before they hatch. All 3 of those series could change. The Sharks have really impressed me though. I did not expect that from them. Still, didn't they blow a lead against the Kings a couple years ago? Feels different right now though. LA doesn't look that good and SJ does.
