I think they wound up skating separately for one shift. Immediately back together!

They've been on the same line since October, I think.

Yes, that's funny they were put right back together. Why wasn't Hall in for the shootout? I missed it but I always wonder about these things. Like when Tampa put in Hedman for a shootout against Florida. Tampa obviously lost

Marchand is a stud. On fire right now. I don't know why Larkin isn't paired with Zetterberg or Datsyuk

Detroits defense looks tired, Bruins dominating in their offensive zone.

In shootouts McLellan uses guys who he feels played well in the game Ie) Hendricks got a shot. Not sure I agree with it. I'm sure he's not the only one using that logic.

Could be. Hendricks had a goal in the game but the guys that should be shooting should be the stars who have the best moves. That's what a shootout is all about

Pretty clear Boston was missing Bergeron but still, no excuses. Rask has been so off lately. Datsyuk has been surging back. Both of these teams are the biggest threats to Florida. Tampa as well

Power plays helped Detroit to stay in the game, overall it was like a lunchtime pick up game, throw the puck at the net and there was a chance it would go in.

Pavel is like a machine, he is so reliable it's crazy.

Devils have won 3 straight games without scoring 1 even strength goal.

Not sure how happy I should be about that though lol.

One thing is for sure, their defense has been suffocating and they haven't lost a game in regulation after scoring 1st.

I know Holtby is going to win the Vezina but Cory deserves a lot of consideration.

This team wouldn't be sniffing the playoffs without him.

Florida has a ton of injuries right now. Three centers injured including Barkov, who will miss at least one more game. Defenseman Gudbranson injured, among others.

Either Pirri or Howden got hit with an elbow and there was another no-call from the refs. Very similar to the no-call hit on Barkov. I really doubt they can beat Pitt tonight and San Jose Thursday without Barkov back. Pirri hasn't been a huge factor and Howden is just depth. Defense, eh

it compounds the issue because with no Barkov, guys like Pirri and Howden would get more prominent roles. If they can't go...

I believe Pirri was ruled out as well.

They brought up two guys but I don't expect them to do much. Bjugstad needs to really step up. He's supposed to be taking the next step. Trocheck/Jokinen/Smith has been solid but everyone needs to be better

Bjugstad finally steps up in an epic game. Crosby made plays on both ends in the OT but Montoya was an animal in net. Still wish they didn't allow the Kunitz snipe but a win is a win. Trocheck shut down Crosby and won a ridiculous amount of faceoffs against him getting promoted to the 1st line

Worked out well for the Panthers.

Win an extended shootout, then get 2 days off.

You would expect at least one or two of the injured players to be able to suit up on Thursday.

Pirri is supposed to be out for a few weeks with an ankle issue but I think Howden will be back. He's been good depth and has some speed. Not sure what the issue is with Mitchell he's been out a while.

Dallas vs St Louis should be good tonight. I would hope that LA vs Washington should be the same but LA just lost Gaborik and Quick is returning from a lower body injury

I was just coming here to post about that.

They're loaded with dirty players every year (I think they specifically look for cheap shot artists and encourage it), and this year they have to be leading the league in injuring players.

Simmonds also took out Zajac in the same game although Zajac was able to return.

The MacDonald slash on Blandisi was the worst. Laughable that Blandisi actually got called for an embellishment on it too.

Devils were lucky to get out of this one in tact , although Gionta might've gotten seriously hurt , could've been worse.

Philly always goons it up in divisional games.
