Ducks have been the better team for most of this series, even games they have lost, and yet it is still going 7. That's why the Cup is the best playoffs if any sport, it's just damn hard to get through it. Compare that to the NBA where the west was supposed to be a stacked conference, and yet the finals only went five. There's rarely real competition in the NBA.
Yep. My original Stanley Cup Pick was Blackhawks-Rangers. Still possible. I would like to see the Ducks or Lightning get there though. Both have impressed me. Mostly the Ducks, who I feel are the best team left.
Could be possible, but the bolts have a winning record against the Hawks and the ducks. I know regular season does not determine what happens in the playoffs but that's why they play the games. The bolts might surprise the NHL world.
Bolts will beat the Hawks, but I don't think they beat the ducks. Someone remind the ducks that Chicago blew a 2-0 lead in game 7 last year Against the Kings.

Tampa was undefeated in the regular season against the Candiens, Rangers and Blackhawks. Could become the first team to beat 4 of the original 6 teams in the playoffs.
Actually like the Black Hawks and Bolts, hope Cally, Strals and Boyle win the Cup, but I would make Black Hawks the favorite, but their defense is depleted, we'll see if Keith can contiue to play 30 minutes against Bolts relentless attack...should be a great series
The Hawks recent success makes them the favorite but they give up a lot of shots, and unlike the Ducks who should have beat them I think the Lightning will make them pay. As long as they continue to keep shots from getting to Bishop I think they win. But if Bishop has to make plays they are in trouble.
How great are the Chicago Blackhawks though? Back to the Cup Final for the 3rd time since 2010. They usually are close every season. Kane and Toews are great stars. Ever since they beat the Flyers, I have enjoyed watching them. Tampa Bay has looked strong the entire playoffs, but I can't pick against Chicago. Actually, that was the same situation Round 1. I knew how good the Predators were. They really were a top team this season. Had home ice too. I just couldn't pick against the Hawks. TB should make it good though. Chicago in 6.
They are like the SF Giants of hockey. I know personally I am rooting for them to win it all...It's one of those things, I really want the Rangers to break the mold as the Eastern Conf team to win the Stanley Cup. Ughh so far away now...
Isles also have new ownership coming in after next season. No doubt they will spend more to win that Wang ever did. They will be a formidable threat for some time now especially if they get a new coach.
Tough loss for Tampa Bay last night. Leading most of the game, then quickly down 1, and eventually lose. That is rough. Reminded me of how the Caps played vs. the Rangers though. You need that 2 goal lead. Chicago now in complete control. Still a mostly enjoyable Game 1 though.
Very good game, Bolts had many opportunities to put it away. Chicago did not even play their best game and found a way to win, once they make the necessary adjustments, they will make quick work of the bolts. Chicago in 5.
