He was okay he used his legs and he made some nice throws. Definitely an improvement over what he was doing the previous month. I do agree that they should bring in a vet that can push Geno and is a capable starter.

I'm aware there offense is better then ours, a peewee offense is better then ours. I was talking about our D.

They weren't able to stop them much at all. We need help in the off-season on the back end, our secondary is shit.

Rex, definitely making the calls on offense there with Richardson. One plus from today. Fucking Jerome Bettis 'Richardson'.

Yea I mean did anyone here not know all season that we had no offensive weapons. We also had the same problem last year. Gotta hope they can be somewhat addressed going into next season.

Congrats. Rex! You just "clinched" your third consecutive non-winning season. If Idzik is dumb enough to try to rebuild with the guy who took us down to this level (Rex), then he'll get what he deserves.

The jets not only need a rebuild, they need a new identity. I mean new coach, new image, and a purge to the roster. I really think about 2/3 of the guys on their roster should go. Fear not, Rex will stay and draft more defense next year--probably on the defensive line again!

LOL "Let". You misused this word. It implies paying them insane money was ever an option.

I don't think they are band aiding the issue. They have a few guys they're developing and they have vet on the line as well.

    BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Hold on i am crying from laughing so hard.

If you want to see what a serious effort to rebuild the OL is all about look at the Steelers.

We are starting one of their cast offs who is sucking badly.

He's going to cost a first AND a third or fourth.

    Washington is showcasing him.

  14. I look at the Jets problems on offense as more of a passing game issue.

They actually have a pretty decent & physical running attack both RBs & run blocking.

However everything about the passing game is inconsistent & a mess. OL can't pass protect, RB's can't pick up blitzes, WRS don't separate & Geno is a learning rookie.

It's likely a multi-year process to really fix this unit. That said..there are acouple fixes that would significantly improve the overall offense w/o a complete rebuild.

    1. Fix the interior of OL- It seems like the offense gets into a rhythm when Geno has a clean windshield in the passing game. They need to find another good guard who is a better pass blocker than Willie Colon & is good at the point of attack. Interested to see if William Campbell develops this offseason. Liked what I saw from him at both TC & Preseason.

2.Find at least one explosive legit play making skill player- It's amazing how many more games you can win if you just have a couple big gains on O. Jets HAVE no big play threats & you can't win without 1.

This. We need a Steve Smith, a Calvin Johnson, an Andre Johnson, an Antonio Brown, an AJ Green. We need an impact receiver that can take pressure off the rest of the receivers.

All that for just another quarterback who most likely will not be a top QB in the NFL.

    No chance

Not after the Flynn and Cassel fiasco's. It's to small of a sample size.

I guess some dumb GM could always overpay though. I would think a second rounder tops.

What about the play calling. Why not use the weapons you have. Kerley is a better than average slot receiver. IMO he should be one of the main focuses of the offense. He wasn't targeted until the 4th quarter when he finally made a very nice catch. He should (like Welker) be a go-to guy and get ten targets per game and average 100 yards per also. Same goes for the two tight ends, Winslow and Cumberland. They are both very good receivers. Add that to the running game plus Bilal also as a key receiver and you might have a consistent drive. I don't get the play calling and on SNY I think it was Ray Lucas or one of the other guys who said Marty had even criticized himself. We don't have a Mike Wallace. Unfortunately we have Tone who had something like 10 targets and only caught two passes. But we do have some guys who can make plays esp Kerley.

That's the one way to insure that they won't get a quality starter in the draft any time soon. Idzik's not gonna give up on Geno this soon, either. If Geno's not the answer, the best way to get a QB who is the answer is to stick with Geno or a vet like McCown or Hill. They'll be respectable, but will draft higher than they would with Cutler or probably Cousins and will have the picks they would have traded for a QB to use on the offense. Panicking is not the smart way to go.

The Flynn and Cassel fiascos were about money not draft picks.

Matt Flynn was a free agent when Seattle signed him and didn't cost any draft picks and Cassel was franchised by the Pats for huge 1 year money before they traded him forcing KC to redo his contract with more massive money and multiple years.

Cousins won't cost anything for 2 more years- not the same financial impact of Flynn and Cassel and someone looking for a QB might take the leap.
