After they were losing 17-6 at halftime. The fact is the Bills still won the game. That was very unBills of them.......
Yeah and the Jets were leading at half time last week against them too. I put zero stock into this. You have a sick D though, and a decent squad that will be in the hunt next year for sure. You think Marrone will be back or does the new owner clean house? Haven't heard any rumors about that.
I think he gives Doug Marrone one more year, but I can't say the same about Hackett (OC). If there is a change, I think Hackett is the only change.
As a diehard Bills fans and FSU fan the answer to that question is hell no! I wasnt impressed with him at college........I actually felt Ponder and Trickett were better QBs they just didn't possess EJ's physical talent .
If I'm Whaley, I go after Glennon and draft Shane Carden. Let the 4 duke it out and let the top two stay. It all depends how EJ responds to the benching this offseason. Nothing to me says he will or won't.....
I bump this thread when the bills are eliminated and its crickets. Bills beat the patriots practice squad and out they come like roachs in a dirty abandoned apartment
Yeah but noone is talking shit about beating a Pats squad down Vollmer, Connolly, Solder (exiting early, injury appeared minor, held out after) on the OL, Gronk/Edelman at receiver, Gray who is the most explosive RB, and that's just on offense. I don't see the normal bragging that the Bills fans here usually do, just realistic talk which is refreshing from them.
Also... Kyle Orton just announced he is retiring. The Bills don't have a first round pick. What are they going to do at the Qb position? I feel your pain, Bills.
It would be a really good move for Mark too. Open competition with EJ in camp would give him a good chance to be a starter again.
He would beat Manuel out in camp easily. Buffalo would be a tough out with him because they have a lot of talent similar to how they were a tough out this year with Orton. They would be limited though with him, like this year, especially if they kept their HC and OC in tact. Very conservative and predictable with a QB prone to mistakes. He could get them to the playoffs though, but they should aim higher there.
The Bills need a QB and a little more help in the secondary. Unfortunately those are two of the hardest spots to find/fix. I think they could have gotten into the playoffs with Orton next year, but he wasn't going to win them a Super Bowl. If I'm them I'd go after Glennon, Sanchez, or Hoyer, for now. Might as well cut your losses with EJ.
