Ah, another great season beginning to fall right into place. The media hates us and thinks the team will totally suck and finsh dead last in the East. The preseason games will be God awful with the Jets looking like they will prove all the "experts" correct in there predictions. Jets fans beginning to already jump off the cliffs and the bandwagon.........I swear it seems everytime we start like this we have a kick ass season.........here's hoping the trend continues....
Yes they were a playoff team, and they have a very very good defense. They have a very solid set of corners and a stout defensive line.
Sanchez hasn't learned a thing since last year. He still doesn't know when to get rid of the ball, he still can't feel the pressure coming and he is still not accurate. All the receivers and offensive linemen in the world won't fix that.
He was getting rid of the football pretty fast on some plays, and the velocity was much improved. He mad some accurate throws. I mean it was only the first game and I don't judge till the 3rd, but I liked the flow even though we didn't get into the EZ
The one play that stood out to me was Sanchez was getting rushed from his blindside and I'm sitting there thinking he is going to get crushed and fumble. He felt the guy, stepped up and kept the ball close to his body. He dodged a rusher without paniking. Unfortunately, nobody blocked the guy coming up the middle and he went down, but little imrpvioement there
The fact of the matter is this a discussion board for fans of the NYJETS. Some see things differently than others. I saw in last nights game much of the same of the last 3 games of last season. Criticize me bash me I dont care. Pre-season is about experimenting and finding the best players to win games. The offense managed 6 points. I see that as a problem.
Lol. Its preseason game number 1. The Patriots put up 7 points and the Bills put up 6 points too. Don't be so dramatic.
Did they move ball and execute the running game? We are supposed to be a ground and pound team....Sanchez got grounded and pounded again yes he did.
Never got to watch the game I was at a wedding. From what I saw the O line was bad. Its also a new offense and the first team was given a quarter to play. Did the Patriots move the ball well? They only put up 7 points. I guess they have a bad offense too.
So what. The point is playing 1 quarter of preseason football doesn't show what the team is going to be. The Colts with Manning would lose all 4 preseason games every year it seemed like. Also the Bears put up 3 points but I guess they are going to bad as well.
Although I won't be surprised if the Jets are mediocre-to-bad this year, it wouldn't shock me that they can be decent either. Whatever the case 1 quarter of a preseason game is not indicative of what can and/or will happen in a season. Crack a beer, back off the ledge and watch a little more of the Jets before you anoint them a failure
