I voted for Lee, but I'm most intrigued by Lee, Cooks, Fuller, and Dennard. They're kinda 1a, 1b, 1c, and 1d for me.
I picked other as I didn't know if it was who I want or who I expect it will be. Want: OBJ (at 18 though, no trade up) or Pryor Expect: Fuller or Dennard I'd prefer not to go CB unless they guy is a bonafide #1 guy and I'm not convinced any of them are there yet.
And I thought we were picking who we want. Oops. I'll stick with Lee though, but think the Jets would gravitate towards Cooks, so I could see that easily. I don't think the Jets go CB. I wouldn't be surprised to see Cooks/Lee, followed by a trade up into late round 1 for Verrett.
all of u listened to me finally, we are not trading up in the 1st , we are not trading down in the 1st, we are staying put and taking brandin cooks, the jets rumor is to make other teams move up and take beckham so cooks falls to us, I said it all along, brandin cooks is the pick at 18
nobody is taking cooks higher than 18, it would be a reach and they would get a phone call from the jets just like 2 years ago when seattle had the 15th and took bruce Irvin, that was the pick the jets wanted at 16, jets called them up and went off on them for reaching so high
cooks is number 18, we take our 2nd rounder and another pick and move up and take either amaro or sefarin-Jenkins, then use the 3rd on a trade with Houston for jonathan joseph or take a corner there
Assuming he makes it to 18, I believe Justin Gilbert will be the pick. Rex Ryan puts a heavy emphasis on players that are physically gifted, relying on his coaching ability to turn that into production. John Idzik comes from a team that placed emphasis on quarterbacks and defense. Seeing as how the quarterback situation with the Jets is relatively stable, I expect him to bolster the defense. CB meets Idzik's philosophy with the realities of today's NFL and playing in the AFC East with Tom Brady, and Gilbert in my opinion is the closest thing to a corner that Rex Ryan would want to coach up.
Lee. Unless there's big value from somebody unexpected dropping, I think Jets go WR. Still believe Lee is the 3rd best WR prospect on this board.
Agreed. And don't forget his nagging injury last year. Getting a legit top 10 prospect like Marqise Lee, at #18, would be a steal!
