The NFL likes to give courteous respect to both high school football and college football by trying to not schedule games that would conflict with the amateur schedules. Here, the NFL and more particularly NBC, I think, said, "fuck you college football" in the quest to make more money by not having the MIN-PHI game conflict with the NO-ATL one. As a West Virginia fan, I am pissed an NFL game is going up against WVU's bowl game. I didn't want to have to use the remote control on Tuesday night but now I will have to. I have Michael Vick in my fantasy football title game so the crappy Vikings-Eagles game (which only has meaning in the race for the 2 seed) has some meaning to me. The NBC or NFL should have moved the MIN-PHI game to Monday night. The roads should be cleared enough by Monday evening that fans would have been able to get to the game safely.
Yeah. NBC redeemed themselves a little bit in my eyes. They had to go with STL-SEA. It really wasn't a hard decision as it is the only Week 17 game in which both teams will be trying like hell to win.
I wonder what the NFL would do if this type of blizzard occurred in New Jersey for the Meadowlands Super Bowl?
