Yeah, I know it's wishful thinking. I just really hope there will be no game-deciding errors, either way.
On that note...did you see the way they were not calling Pass Interference last night. I hope that kind of carries over and they let them play a little. A couple of those non calls would, last year, been spot fouls. Overall they've stunk up the joint in the preseason...I hope the ref "strike" doesn't last too long. You just know, eventually, they are going to jack up an entire game on a big blown call.
While that would be nice this is something 32 teams have to deal with... I know some teams are going to catch harder breaks than others so hopefully the Jets aren't one of them...
ESPN update about 30 minutes ago mentioned that the league is going to have a sit down with locked out refs sometimes later today. Sure, all teams will have to deal with it, but sometimes some have to deal more than the others.
If we could pick one team to open the season against at home, it would HAVE to be the Buffalo Bills. Don't pencil in a 'W'. Use a sharpie instead.
Thank god! This has felt like it's been taking forever. I'm excited to see how the Jets react to the end of last season and all the criticism.
You just know that some teams will find a way to use the incompetence of the scab refs to their advantage (Belicheat I'm looking at you).
