I know I am late posting this, but, were any of you at the game on Friday? MSG was ELECTRIC. I haven't heard the place rock like that in a long time.
Not sure how much it matters but Carmelo's wifey has said she believes he will definitely stay with the Knicks
Carmelo leaving is the least of my concerns. Hes not leaving to play with Kobe or Derrick Rose. Knicks can offer him the most money, and we all know, money talks. Plus, the last thing he wants is to be hated here.
So the Knicks are playing strange. 13 points: Shump layup Shump layup Prigioni layup Chandler layup Chandler layup Melo 3 10 points in the paint already! That's rare for the Knicks. Shump is active right now, in a good and bad way. Knicks went small and matched up Ray on Green/Wallace, Shump guarded the other, Prigs on Rondo, Chandler on Sullinger, Melo on Bass
NY_KnicksPR @NY_KnicksPR 7s Iman Shumpert has a sprained right shoulder and is questionable to return (7:45 in first quarter).
If Melo intercepted that pass and Melo hit that half court buzzer beater, oh man oh man the Garden would have EXPLODED
Knicks are playing real well right now. Let's hope it continues all the way through Saturday and we beat Miami
Frank Isola @FisolaNYDN 17m James Dolan just walked to the locker room & had Allan Houston, Steve Mills, Mark Warkentien and Lisa Callahan follow him. Something is up. Frank Isola @FisolaNYDN 2m Suddenly Beno has been listed as "ill, not available" by the Knicks. That could be code for he's getting traded.
I know the Knicks can blow a 30 point lead with over a quarter left. But could be rest Melo just a bit in case?
Chris Herring @HerringWSJ 12m Woodson says the team's pace is better as a result of small-ball. Team seems more committed at this point, in his opinion. The team is using the strategy that got them 54 wins is helping them. Interesting development, wonder if Mike Woodson will make any other discoveries this season
Will be at tonights game too, maybe ill start posting pictures. I have a really cool shot of MELO jumper when he reached 62, but im sure there are plenty of pro pics out already.
4-0 for the Knicks since Bargnani got hurt. Very small sample size and we played the Bobcats, Lakers, Celtics, and Cavs at home. The positive way to look at this, there is high chance we don't win these games earlier in the season. We got blown out by the Celtics, the Cavs (read Kyrie who Pablo really did a good job slowing down) always bother us, the Bobcats have been annoying, and the Lakers, well the Knicks would have found a way to lose. Now the Miami Heat come to NY. I'm guessing they are going to try and win the game and not coast, but I thought that WED night. The Knicks have remained competitive in games against Miami the last two years, because Miami's D, when it has faults, is giving up offensive rebounds and 3s. If there is something the Knicks are good at, it is chucking up 3s. Hopefully Miami goes and parties all Friday night, Lebron sleeps through the gametime, and we win Saturday too. In the terrifying East, the Knicks are 1/2 games out of the 8 seed. The Knicks are 3.5 out of the 6 seed, also known as the "phew we don't need to play IND/MIA 1st round seed"
