Good win for the NYK. Hopefully Shumpert's injury isn't to serious.

Boston loses to NO, we gain a game on them!

Also, obviously, most valuable seeds in the East, 2,3,6,7.

It's probably going to be a tight race going down the stretch for seeds 2-6. I could see any one of those teams switching spots with any other. Let's hope the Knicks can get back up to the #2, but we'll see.

Yes they did! 3rd straight year. Just 5-7 years ago I was wondering if we were going to make the playoffs again.

you know i havent watched basketball in years. the game has changed to the point its no longer interesting or fun to watch.

that said i have been watching recently, for only 1 reason. to see the knickerbockers completely implode, i am pretty confident it will occur at this point.

Well you had a preview during our 5 game road trip last week.

Not sure how if you don't enjoy basketball you would enjoy basketball if a team lost, but whatever floats your boat!

KMART getting "Ken-yon Mar-tin" chants at the free throw line to end the 1st half.

Martin is another vet that is making serious contributions. I really think he can put us over the edge down the stretch of this season. Hopefully we can finish the season like we started. ESPN radio was funny as hell last week talking about how they aren't even sure if the knicks can beat toronto or reach 46 wins. Eat that. We have some big games coming up. I just hope Chandler can be back soon.

Probable for Tuesday's game. If I have time tomorrow, I'm going to break down seeding and where we can potentially end up. This was a good weekend for us seeding wise. I've already spent some time on the WC which why I haven't talked much in here.

Also it's nice not having to discuss knees and medical terms as the main topic in a thread about basketball

Great first half from the Knicks, but the annoying Celtics are making a run in the 3rd quarter. As usual, against us, they are never out of a game, especially in Boston.

Melo is very cold today. His shooting motion looks off. Worried something might be bothering him.

We fought back that first Boston run. Knowing Pierce, the Celtics will have couple more in them.

Up 15 on Boston heading into the 4th. You know Boston has a 7-0 run somewhere. Gotta hold strong like in the 3rd

I hate the fact that woody is even considering benching Martin when T.C. comes back. In fact, come playoff time, most key players play 40+ minutes a game. This theory of our bench will outscore your bench during a 82 game schedule is ok I guess...but come playoff time, starting Felton, Smith, Anthony, Martin and Chandler is a pretty impressive starting line up against anybody.

Now that would leave with Pablo, Kidd, Copeland, Camby and Shumpert on the bench. I guess you have to start Shumpert IF you get far enough and play the Heat...but this idea that you have to play small against certain teams..Martin could guard a 3...let teams adjust to you. The Heat cant play big.

I dont know...I just know I want Martin starting because he is exactly what this team has been missing for years...and mean S.O.B. down low who takes no shit. Between Chandler and him, you begin to eliminate 2 major flaws..points in the paint and being out rebounded.

Woodson said he would go 2 bigs against CHI and IND and teams that force it.

But otherwise, you have Chandler and KMART and a ? in Camby. You can't run them both out there, if one gets in foul trouble then you are in big trouble. You need someone to spell Chandler. If Amare/Sheed/THomas get healthy in time, starting both is an option even against smaller lineups.

Prigioni was inserted into the starting lineup 5 games ago, we are 5-0. Will be interesting to see if we go more 2 PG lineups, seems to be very effective.

Nice win last night. It is always nice to see a NY team beating a Boston team. :)

Ok...I see your point on foul trouble but it would be a no brainer if Thomas could eat some minutes. Whats the latest with him on a return?

I guess Im just getting a bit fed up with this love affair Woody has with a strong bench. Thats not as important in the playoffs when teams are playing their main guys 40 minutes. I just want Martin out there for 30 minutes a game in the playoffs..how ever he plays it.

IF HEALTHY.....Martin was and has been a perfect pick up for this team. Its exactly what was needed...exactly what was needed. And yep...I agree...both Chandler and Martin being in foul trouble would be a huge huge problem. Just goes to show you how important a pick up it was.

Prigioni? Playing incredible basketball right now..both ends of the floor. Incredible how about 2 weeks ago many thought this team would struggle to get out of the first round...right now? have a real good feeling.
