I know it sounds crazy, but JR is over passing. If you are open from 3, shoot and he has been open 3-4 times and passed it up. Down 14 with 2:38 in the second quarter. Melo is ice cold, like a guy who hasn't played in a week. Defense is bad.
Down 50-35 after the 1st half. Melo looks slow. JR looks a little slow and off (also banged up) Kidd looks good but hasn't shot the ball. Shump offensively looked good to start, cooled off. Thomas/Kmart brought it defensively. Felton looks like Felton, no other way to describe it. Novak is ice cold. Time for some Copeland and Prigioni? We need offense and Prigioni can create it and Copeland is offensively is better when Novak's shot isn't falling like right now
Hopefully Melo is just rusty and this won't be common from him and his knee. BK lost tonight and IND yesterday, with a win tonight we can gain a game on them. If we lose, we obviously gain/lose no ground
Well I guess we either see: a) The Knicks team that puts together one good streak where you are amazed and then comeback after a lackluster game to make it close. b) The Knicks that don't seem to care and just roll over.
Down 62-40 with 8 minutes left in the 3rd. Melo does not look good. No lift whatsoever. JR also playing horrific. He's driving to the paint, but not doing anything once in there. Interesting to see who Woodson comes out with out of this TO.
But JR was playing terrible anyways so oh well. interesting, they called it a flagrant 1 on the court and upgraded it? By the way, Barnesd missed the first flagrant free throw, ball don't lie
Well we were down 24 went JR went out and now are down 27. Not really a difference. Nobody is playing well unfortunately. Usually when looking for offense you go in the order below (including obviously pick and roll but when PnR is shut down) and then tonight we have: Melo: no JR: no Felton: no Novak: no Kidd: no -Start worrying Shump:no Prig: no -Now you get real worried Copeland: maybe.
Hey Woodson finally benched Melo! Melo played 30 minutes with 14 minutes left in the game. What was Woodson's plan if this game was close, Melo for 40 minutes with a sore knee?
I would go Felton/Shump/Copeland/Melo/Chandler Bench with Kidd,Prig,Smith, Novak, Kmart, Thomas/Camby if needed White goes into the doghouse
So we are down 21 heading into the 4th quarter. I would roll with Prig, Shump, Copeland, Kmart, and somebody not names Melo. and the Knicks are now playing better like Gordon predicted. JR/Melo were blackholes on the court tonight
