Okay, we need to get Shump in for Amare. Put shump on Teague. Let Felton/Smith chase Korver.

Amare gets beat defensively down the floor after a made jumper. Amare then leaks out while there is a loose ball. Amare then can't dunk it in or lay it in as Teague chases him down. Come on Amare....

Knicks have terrible possession, ends in a bucket. Teague blows by Felton who fouls him

Ugh, Amare makes a gerat offensive play on end. Then gets unstuck from Smith and fouls Korver as he takes a 3. Put Shumpert in!

Teague blows into the lane again, misses layup.

Yeah so our offense with Melo/Amare/Chandler is all Melo iso and that's it. When he swings it, there are only two perimeter shooters not 3. I don't like this setup. Our offense has been Melo iso or hope we get a rebound when Melo misses. Defensively, not a very good lineup either. I don't like the combo but Woodson wants it

ATL runs a big pick n roll and Amare gets burnt defensively. We have no offense with this unit. It's all iso or swinging on the perimeter

I hate this combination. Offense stalls late as Melo trues to hit Amare cutting, Melo misses, Melo misses.

Woodson made a huge mistake trying to close with MElo/Amare/Chandler and Felton and Smith

By the way, Carmelo got in the face, slammed the ball into the ground, got a tech. ATL made the tech, down 1 with 22 seconds

Melo iso AND 1 to take a 2 point lead. Defensive lineup should be Felton, Smith, Shump, Melo and Chandler

We sneak away with a win. Horrible defense but got one really late bucket and one late stop, barely

Good win. The most concerning thing is Mike Woodson right now. We never adjusted to Teague burning us by putting Shumpert on him. Even at the end of the game, we put Shump on Korver even though Shump is much much much better on the ball than running through off the ball screen.

The other mistake was continuously playing Amare/Tyson/Melo combo down the stretch. It was iso after iso after iso after contested jumper after contested jumper. When the ball was swung out of Melo's hands because of a double, we were missing the weak side shooter to hit them. I know Woodson wants to get those 3 working together, but they need to run more pick and roll to do it effectively so it doesn't iso heavy. When the offense is going to be Melo iso/clear out because he is on fire, it's counter productive to use 2 bigs. When the offense is pick and roll, 2 bigs is fine as we see, Melo loves shooting in stride.

To the postivies, offensively, wow was everyone on fire. Amare crashed the boards, Melo was 9/12 from 3 point land and maybe 2 of them were stupid shots. The rest were open or when he takes one step as he catches the ball and launches. We saw JR Smith get a little bit back on track, hustling on defense still with the poor shooting. Prig's 3 touch is nice. All the positives were offensive. The shooting touch was on for Melo and Amare got 4 offensive boards and go to the line 8 times. His post game is a nice touch and he is cutting down on bad turnovers. His passing is improving too, he hit Melo out of a double, the skip pass the Melo later used to hit Smith for a 3. I mean everytime we needed a bucket ,we got it. Amare played 29 minutes

All the negatives I already listed throghout the game thread, mainly Amare in the pick and roll defense and Felton on Teague. Just did not look good. I blame this more on Woodson for putting them in the position. And Shump only played 19 minutes for some reason.

And Atlanta shot 60% which is absolute horrific defense on our part.

Amare was getting killed on his PnR defense...ATL kept doing the same move and going after him.

How about when he fell into Korver on the missed 3 pt attempt and gave him 3 free throws...ugly...

The 3rd 3 pointer in a row right before the half, I believe he shot it from the Knicks side of the court...
