We lose 81-74. Pacers now 2 games back of us.

Amare played terrible. JR Smith got tired down the stretch. Kidd can't play full time PG (we knew that).

I actually liked our play on the boards. We out rebounded INDY which is tough to do. We did ok but we need to tread water better until Shump comes back. Our defense san Amare was good. Granted the Pacers are missing Granger but George has really filled in well.

THe Knicks also handled this ugly game better than games past. This is what IND does and this is where you need Melo. Oh well, onto Chicago next, hopefully Melo comes with a vengenance. Chitown is going for the 3rd win in a row on us this seaosn.

Also, we lost back to back games, and are 5-7 in our last 12 games. Meaning before this stretch, we were 18-5 and now 23-12. Still a great record considering our injuries, but our defense has regressed too.

We somehow out rebounded them or tied them. Your loss is worse

You going to watch the heat tonight?

Same with me, gonna watch as long I can stay up. I want to see Lebron guard this Lillard kid down the stretch in a close game if I can make it.

I'm going to rant and rave in the NBA season thread if you want to join in

    HHAHAHA Batum's dunk

Caught the end of the game. Pacers are looking legit and (no surprise) the Knicks are a bad team without Melo.

And Felton and Shumpert. 3/5 of their starting lineup. Oh and Sheed who I don't know will ever come back.

Ideally you start with Felton, Shumpert, Melo, Camby, Chandler
Your bench unit(s) would be Prig, Kidd, Smith, Amare, Sheed, Novak, Brewer, Copeland

Your closing unit would ideally be Felton, Smith, Shumpert, Melo, Chandler.

If Pacers can't find better offense, I worry about them. This is great ball, but I wonder about George kicking it up a notch in the playoffs.

Can the Knicks not get bitten by the injury bug for one year now?

    Chris Herring ‏@HerringWSJ
Not shocked to see Camby limping, but J.R. Smith had his left knee wrapped heavily in ice and was limping badly, too.

Any season they have been good, there have injuries in the past 3-4 years. Granted the 3-4 last good years swing back to the 90s but Ewing, Houston, Amare x342352454, Melo, Shump, Baron, Camby, Sheed, Felton, Lin

We need a new training staff ASAP

A training staff can't do anything about old age...

Felton, Shump, Melo, Lin were not old age. And now potentially JR.

Shump was a rookie last year!

This loss made it obvious we need Felton. The knicks have the worst luck with injuries. We finally have a good team and we can't catch a single break. We haven't been full strength once since Woodson took over last year. It's ridiculous. Pirgioni is good but he can't play long minutes, same with Kidd. We need Felton and Shumpert back asap. Poor Camby, hopefully it's nothing major, he's just finally getting his rhythm back. Since Woodson took over, we haven't had a full strength team for a single game. Just think about that. We could the #1 team in the east right now.

I'm not so sure it's training staff. The way Shumpert and Baron Davis blew their knees out was something that players are taught not to do. You can't suddenly stop and put full pressure on your knee. Baron should have known better, but Shump had to learn the hard way. It's not really conditioning. Some of it is bad luck (Amar'e, Melo's finger & ankle, Felton banging up his hands, etc).

That call was horseshit. The replay was obvious that he got a large portion of his arm as well.

Nba countdown crew killing melo for losing his cool. It was a one game suspension, that's it. Spending the first 10 minutes discussing it. The comparing Melos adversity with Kobe, ray Lewis, and tiger woods. Way too much time talking about this situation.

I'm just looking forward to shump coming back at this point. He'll probably on a minutes limit too whic is tough with all our injuries. Guess we need to tread water til Felton comes back. This happened last season, no point guard that can drive and beat pressure
