Welp, the Knicks locked themselves into a tough spot. Win Tuesday, or this series could eventually come back to IND with IND up 3-2. If Tyson can't slow down Hibbert the Knicks will lose. Melo slowed down West. Shumpert slowed down George. Hibbert went off. On top of that, Felton now showing plus everyone else, yeah loss like this. Melo/center/Shump/Felton/Novak or Cope has to be a lineup soon to get the 3 ball going and falling. Go zone to hide them, it worked decently enough on IND. Rebounding, not really sure except for our bigs actually hitting the boards and boxing out would be nice.
Hmm Novak or Cope, why not Woodson? When they put Hansborough it, do it! What are the Pacers going to do, go throw the ball to Tyler in the post and ISO. Go for it, it's going to be a TO or a terrible possession. And opposite side of the ball, West/Tyler are too slow to chase Novak or Cope around screens and big men, as always, will gravitate toward the paint.
I will tell you who is a joke...a total joke...and thats Chandler. Against a team like this he is the most important player on the court. Anthony and Smith could shoot lights out and if you cant at least keep the advantage to them under 10 you have no shot..none. What an embarrassment and the media lets him slide. I would ask him after every game "you were voted the defensive player of the year last year...what happened? Are you hurt? Did your wife leave you? How can you have nothing to do with the defensive end whatsoever". The Knicks are not going to win this series unless he plays a solid game. Martin is useless against this team. Totally useless.
I agree Jay, I like Tyson but he was invisible, except for that bogus technical he got..I'd love to see Hansborough get flattened, maybe the Knicks could borrow Dan Girardi for a game

I'm telling you, we need to start Martin. Even if Chandler's there at the same time. Melo shouldn't be guarding bigs, and we have 2 of them we need to worry about. Woodson needs to get away from small ball already. I know it works against many teams, but Indiana is not one of them. We need 2 big men, or we are going to get dominated on the glass every time. Also why not play Prig in the clutch? He was one of the few who was playing great. JR with another stinkfest, I'm honestly getting tired of Woodson's blind loyalty to him. He was sick and he sucked. Take him out. If Woodson doesn't start playing more big men, we aren't going to win the series. Bottom line. We need more Camby, more Copeland and more Amar'e (which will come in time). Melo wasn't good either. He's kind of been MIA this series for the majority of the minutes. Shoot more 3s. They were instrumental during the season, now nobody's making them and we barely even shoot em. The ball movement has stopped and we are isolating every play. Woodson's dedication to JR is mind boggling. I don't want this team to live and die with JR. I know they're tough up front but we need more people driving to the basket and drawing fouls. We need Hibbert and George in foul trouble. I've generally liked Woodson but his rotations against this team are making me scratch my head. We scored what, 30 something in the first HALF. We need offense not strictly defense. And if I ever see Chandler post up again I'm going to vomit. PASS THAT SHIT!!! Melo, you get double teamed almost every time you get the ball. PASS THAT SHIT!!! Starting KMART is stupid. Melo has handled David West perfectly fine the last two games. Hibbert is the problem and that falls on Tyson just getting out worked. West has no showed mostly the last two games, not a problem. Going big plays right into the Pacers hands because Hibbert AND West can roam free in the paint, you think they're really going to respect Tyson or Kmart offensively? Shump has been hesitating on open 3s, not sure why. Otherwise, IND doesn't double team and we haven't played Novak or Cope so no 3s. Also lack of transition game getting 3s has hurt. Agreed. JR and Kidd are playing too much. JR last game makes sense though because well Kidd/Pablo/Felton had 0 points through 3 quarters. That requires JR for better or for worse. Melo is rarely getting double teamed, not sure what you are talking about. They are playing Melo straight up unless Hill or someone small gets mismatched on him then they double. Last game was truly a game Melo should have taken more shots. He only took 16, we needed him to go off since nobody else was doing anything. George is a good defender and the Pacers were on point not letting someone else get stuck on Melo. Yesterday was the day we needed Melo to shoot more ironically enough. Just gotta rebound better and rotate better. Similar problems defensively to game 1. It starts with Tyson Chandler though. If Hibbert can work him, there's no hope. The constant is supposed to be Tyson can neutralize his guy.

Yep, Tyson has to be better, if not he has to get help. Melo is only getting doubled when he gets near the paint. He's not on his outside jumpers, but his shooting percentage has gone down a lot this series, so they have no need to double team him on the outside. They converge on him every time he tries to take it to the hoop, however. 5 rebounds from our starting center is unacceptable, though. Melo's been in a semi slump, he's not hitting the shots he usually makes. He's making the same moves, but not hitting like he was earlier in the year. Melo's been good at the 4, mostly, but I feel him playing at the 3 might open up more for us against Indy and create more mismatches. No way to know for sure, but that's what I think.

Does international broadcasting agreements have anything to do with this crazy scheduling? NBA has huge overseas fan base. If LeBron walks in Paris streets he won't be able to walk due to attention. But say Dewrek Jeter, Brady or Manning walks in Paris, nobody will even recognize them.

not a thing SJ...your question and scratching of the head is dead on...so now we know the reason that Chandler is coming up with 5 rebounds a game and getting dominated on defense is because he isnt happy with the way the offense is being run....HUH? The only good thing to come out of this is that Chandler should put up a monster game because if he doesnt...the media will finally hand him his ass in his mouth. I mean you have to be kidding me. He sucked against the Celtics too for the most part...was he unhappy about the offense then too? So because he doesnt like the ball movement...he comes out publicly to the media to explain his pathetic play? Did he really think that would deflect the attention away from him playing like he doesnt give a shit. He is the last guy on this roster I would ever think to tank games and lets not mistake whats going on here..he is tanking games up to this point. By Hibbert scoring at will? NO By him not scoring at all? NO Just look at this rebound total...against a team thats shooting 35% and WINNING. Thats the stat. Rebounding. Thats all he has to do...rebound.
