They've been calling that a flagrant all playoffs. Was surprised they didn't even call it flagrant to review it at least

Melo baby I love you, but you have been such a disappointment lately. JR you're a mess too. Losing a home game to a team like the Pacers who are so good at home is worrisome. The knicks can be so weak. Whether it's a bad call or not don't let the refs get in your head. They were being such cry babies.

Pacers in 5. They're a house of horrors for us. Long and dominant in the paint. JR Brick and Melo will just take outside shots and go 3-12 every night....

If Tyson gets in foul trouble, load of problems for us with Hibbert. When Melo and Tyson are in foul trouble, even more problems.

That could have been worse, there are some simple fixes that could work:

Get Hibbert in pick and roll situation everytime down the floor. Make him move, he has trouble doing that. Also, Tyson has to outplay Hibbert, can't get dominated defensively and on both boards by Hibbert.

Melo played bad, but again it was more Hibbert discouraging from going inside. Absolutely changed the game. Melo took 7-8 shots in the paint and had 0 free throws after 3 quarters.

JR Smith played bad. Lump him in with Kidd too. JR seemed to turn it on at the end but then chucked up that terrible 3 which while terrible, we needed 3 points there after Melo messed up the 2 for 1.

Defensively, they didn't rotate well. They doubled when the person could see the whole floor, and their rotations weren't crisp. They let the Pacers beat them from 3 point range and they wasted away transition opportunities with turnovers (shumpert's last step in becoming an all around good player).

Also defensively, close out possessions. Let up too many offensive rebounds and didn't grab their own (that's on KMART and Tyson offensively.). They need to gang rebound, because the Pacers thrive off of second chance opportunites.

They limited Paul George which is very tough to do (Shot the same percentage as Melo).

Not the end of the world, but with the loss they threw themselves into a must win Tuesday. They had open shots they missed and the Pacers made them.

Oh and if the refs are going to give Hibbert/Mahimi that much respect on going up and down, Chandler and Kmart need to to adjust and do the same. Chandler learnt some going up on George and getting him good but didn't get called for a foul. KMART was still slapping refs.

Not sure if Amare would have helped. Melo got the better of Hansborough while Amare always gets beaten by him for whatever reason.

Oh and David West too, get him and Hibbert moving. They are slow and don't like going to the 3 point line on defense. Hibbert specifically. He likes packing the paint which is why Felton got so many floaters. If Hibbert wants to do that, run the 4/5 pick and roll to get Melo WIDE open shots. By Hibbert packing the paint, to stop a high pick and roll where he should be involved, someone else has to cheat off their man. Open 3 then.

Something is wrong with Chandler and Im not sure its even an injury. I do not know how a guy voted D man of the year could have an up and down season like he has had...and only played 1 or 2 DECENT playoffs game so far.

I want to know what kind of heart this guy has in game 2. The fact that he..at this position which includes no shooting..needs to have a bounce back game is an embarrassment. Total embarrassment.

    I totally agree brook.

I dont get the spacing thing. How can the spacing be so bad in the playoffs. Some will say its the playoffs and teams play better defense but spacing is spacing..and there are no good look 3's going on..none.

Unlike the Boston series there were open 3's early in this game and hate to say it but Novack would have been important in this series.

I dont know...Smith and Chandler look almost disinterested at this point..I dont get it.

What do you mean about spacing?

Also, I think running a Melo/Chandler PnR can initially get Hibbert in trouble until IND adjusts. By running it with Melo, Hibbert stays in the paint like he does, then there is SO much free room for his elbow jumper with his defender stuck on Chandler. If Hibbert challenges Melo and comes out on the pick, the he drives. The tough part is once IND adjusts to this, Melo is going to have to make the right pass, which he can do, but his ball handling skills aren't the best

What a crappy game. The officiating was atrocious. I can't believe some of those fouls they called. We couldn't close the gap. Every time we came close the refs bailed out Indy with a piss poor call. Don't get me wrong, there were bad calls on both sides, but how can these refs consider themselves playoff calibur refs calling obvious blocking fouls as charges and vice versa? It's ludicrous. The refs should be fined for all of their mistakes. Some of those "offensive" foul calls were absolutely stupid.

If I'm Woodson, I'm starting Martin over Chandler. Chandler just hasn't had his head fully in the game since his return. Careless plays, not hustling for rebounds, committing stupid fouls when he KNOWS they are calling it tight. Chandler flat out sucked last night. JR Smith hasn't been the same since his suspension. I just don't understand why he reverted back to old shitty JR. The same JR I wanted off the team after last season. Melo doesn't have his focus either. I don't know what it is, but he isn't ready for passes, he's comitting bad turnovers. These guys need to seriously get their heads in the game. I know Indy's good, but they aren't Miami. We should be able to beat them.

imho, situation is pretty clear for the Knicks...regardless of matchups or anything else. Melo and JR throw up those kind of FG %'s and they will lose the series......those 2 get anywhere near respectable %'s and they'll win.

(the Knicks got away with shitty FG% for the big 2 against them)........if the Knicks have to depend on Felton and Shumpert to provide the offense, they're done.

The Knicks are a better team (not by a ton) and if they lose this series they'll have beaten themselves.

Chandler got dominated all game. How come we see so little of Copeland? He makes his first shot of the game, then sits until the 4th Q. Don't understand it. Also, Shump needs more time. We can't go small against the Pacers. 2 of Prigiono, Felton, and Kidd can't be on the floor at the same time.
